should it still contuine i would say to loading your first save that you want to start off on from the main menu using load not continue should you click continue skyrim will not respond after you click load that message your getting will pop up click yes and then save and you shouldnt see it again unless you do number1 or number 2 near the top of this comment
to not start over go under local disk>users>[your username]>my documents>my games> skyrim>saves> and copy all your saves onto 1 of 2 (or both) spots on your desktop or to a flashdrive
now on to the clean saves part
you need to rightclick skyrim and delete the local content then go into your documents go under whereever you have your steam stuff at and make sure there is no skyrim folder if there is delete it also make sure that you dont have a skyrim saves folder anymore as well
after all this is done you will need need to play skyrim and it will install all the files that it would have the first time you played it (yes that means it has to install all over again) and start a new game save it as soon as you can and go to you skyrim save and move all the saves you copied ealier to the new saves folder and you should have them all NOTE: i had to do this and it took i think 1 or 2 days for it to regonize my saves where in there or mabye thats because i didnt put all the saves of my character in there before or even mabye because i use skse but still it should work
I don't think ill need to do that.. Do I?
Making a clean save is actually really easy. You just uninstall whatever mod you don't want anymore, start the game and load a save, and when you get the "Some content may not be available" "Load?", you press YES. Then when you are inside the game again, just save again. That's it. You now have a clean save.
Everything that earlier was in your save file referring to the mod you uninstalled earlier should now be gone, and if you now try to reload the same save you shouldn't get the "Some content may not be available" message again (until the next time you uninstall a mod).
Thanks for that, but I want a mod. If a mod needs a "clean save" do I do what you did, but install the mod afterwards?
If you still have problems, link the mod you are trying to install.
Otherwise the general rule is to read the instructions in the readme. If there aren't any (as in the armor mod posted above), then it's just the deafult installation. Subscribing for the workshop, and clicking the "download with manager" button if you use nexus.
Have fun :)
