Unexpected Stroke of Luck
Just installed Dawnguard and loaded up my current character (an almost "pure" Khajiit - only perking skills they have bonuses in, plus Haggling/Allure/Merchant from Speech to handle my Alchemy output :P). I went into Breezehome to check Ysolda's shop. Just under 1000 gold for a Necklace of Disease Immunity (100% resistance).

Didn't know those existed, thought there were only Necklaces of Disease Resistance (which I would've been overjoyed to find so quickly).

Then I went outside to find it was night and a pair of Master Vampires attacking (fortunately, Durak was right there to help).

So, anyone else got their own story of unexpected luck that was perfectly timed?

I have found those 100% Resistant Necklaces also, Gumby. Well, once. Very handy when fighting Vampires.

I've had many lucky moments, I'm sure, but the one which comes to mind now is the time I entered Whiterun after a day of hunting to level up my Archery skill. I was a lowly level 10 and while I owned Breezehome it was not even furnished yet. I had no followers, no one to help. Three of the Dragonborn Cultists were waiting for me as I entered the gate. Those guys are bad in my book--no matter what level you are playing on.

One of them threw a ball of something at me--shock, I think--and I sidestepped behind the Guard who always stands to the left of the gate. The ball hit him instead. Every single Guard in the City came running. I stepped off to the side and watched the fun. When it was over, I looted the bodies and dragged them under the bridge. I like to keep a tidy city.

If I'd have known I was going to have such a show to watch I'd have brought a chair and some popcorn. It was lucrative too, their loot was worth a lot and they had some items I could use to improve my skills.
