My favorite class to play as is a straight up warrior/knight with heavy armor and sword-and-shield (plus a bit of restoration to help with healing). For some odd reason, though, I tend to play my archer character more than my warrior. Not really sure why.

The sneaky archer mage is many peoples favorite, and mine. I play the same character type in other RPGs as well. But since it is too easy to make a god of war that way, I have to handicap myself a little. I skip Armor, Smithing and Enchanting and use loot instead. Alchemy is OK, but I do not exploit it. I do not really max my Health. If I can fight on my own terms, I win, but often the enemy surprises me with death. There is also the Invisibility/Muffle/30x backstab thing... but I do it very occasionally, if at all.

Skyrim is odd, because it would be logical to make a huge brute in heavy armor and a two-hander, but that would actually be harder than the archer mage.

Rogue-type classes are where it's at. I backstab and dual-wield swords all day, but pick off targets when I can with a bow. Light armor, too, of course.

I play primarily a pretty typical Greatsword and Heavy Armor Warrior. Yet I throw in some knowledge of Alchemy, Archery, and Smithing to make my guy out to be a more well rounded Character. If we still made custom classes I would name him something along the lines of Knight Ranger.

Spellsword

Pretty much a highly versitile and well rounded class that can do a bit of anything.

Archer Hunter Khajiit. Who knows a few tricks up his sleeve...He has the Stamina of a Cheetah, the killer instinct of a Cheetah, and the power of, er...well, kinda like a Khajiit really...
His name is K'horaak...Deadly with a Bow...

My favorite class has always been a battlemage, and this game is the first I've seen where you can truly shine as one. The closest was Dragon Age:Origins, but the mana drain and lack of combat techniques made it a pretty weak class. My plan for my skills is raising One-handed, destruction, and restoration. I'll be putting some into smithing as well so I can upgrade my weapons and armor.

My favorite class is an mage. Mostly destruction with secondary of restoration and conjuration. The only problem is that you forget about stamina and health so you start dying alot and having to leave behind valueble armors, weapons, and misculanious. Sorry for incorrect spelling.

my fav would have to be assassin, with the nightingale armour, with the bow and arrow as my second weapon after the daggers

Sneaky and Archery do not mix as the very nature of killing with a bow draws attention. You want to be sneaky. You keep a dagger in one hand and Calm in the other.

I find that odd, as I kill silently with my Bow and Arrows. And I can take down a group before they get to me, when I use the right magic.

I think you need to play the game a little more before you can say archery and stealth do not mix.

100% achievement Dan and I don't spend hours on end in mod land. Believe me, I know what "sneaky" is...sneaky is killing people without them ever knowing you were there. Arrows zipping through the air gets every up and moving. If you want people up and moving I recommend AoE Fury with Silent Casting...watch'em kill each other then pick off the winner.
