Who is your Skyrim spouse?
The title explains everything. If you post screenshots, please observe the usual Rules and Guidelines. Also refrain from troll comments, since they will be reported and will only harm you, yourself.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For me, it has always been Jenassa. She has great lines, mixing cruel and tender comments. She sees combat as art, and wants a patron and an audience for her work. Yet she is truly happy to join the Dragonborns company. Even the usual line: "We're one of the same kind, you and I. I'm glad to have met you." sounds different, coming from her. The voice means a lot too, obviously, she sounds disciplined without jackboot asceticism. Jenassa both knows and accepts herself, and does not particularly care what strangers think of her.

The only mods I really use with her are XCE, Better Stealth AI and something that lets her level above 40, where she stops in Vanilla. It does not really seem right to stash her in the kitchen after reaching level 50. The combat skills are good too, she can do Archery, One-Handed and Block, or Two-Handed, depending on the situation. (She can dual-wield as well, but that rarely works in my games.)

There is beautiful and there is too beautiful. Polishing NPCs is not my thing, not that there is anything particularly wrong with it

I married this.

She's a big girl!

That's disgusting! You would marry a male Horker? If you go bestial, at least you could choose a female of the species

Aela is actually a good choice. She is voiced by Claudia Christian, of Babylon 5 fame: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Claudia_Christian She is a skilled follower too.

You are not alone, codename Voodoo. There are many mods for this, none of which solve the issue satisfactorily. She is, for me, the most interesting and life-like Skyrim NPC

I married Sapphire from the thieves guild with a mod that enables her for marriage ~_~ It was love at first blackmail.

Hmm... I think Sapphire is not involved in important quests, so that could work. Is the mod you use otherwise OK? Does she have the usual comments, etc.?

As for the blackmail... that is between man and his NPC.

I always was a fan of Mjoll

I always was a fan of Mjoll :markarth:

As well as you should, she is a strong Nord woman, and marrying her takes more work than finding a mammoths tusk.

Here is a quote from UESP Wiki: "If you marry Mjoll, you can take everything in Aerin's house in Riften." Poor Aerin

I actually married one of the hired help (for 500 gold).
I play a high elf, and I reckoned the only person who could keep up with me, was the dark elf woman in the Drunkun Huntsman. Humans don't live as long, and get old fast. :P

I've married over various playthroughs a lot of different NPCs. Balimund, Sondas Drenin, Revyn Sadri, Aela, Jenassa, Muiri, Temba Wide-arm, Ysolda and most recently my custom follower. I liked them all except Temba who kept trying to send me to chop wood and Muiri who kept thanking me for fixing her "little problem". Oh and that nice housecarl from the Morthal homestead, but he got all buggy when I tried to move house so I sadly cheated a divorce.

Brynjolf of the Thieves Guild is my most favored choice, done with a mod, of course. I did marry Ulfric once, also with a mod (Sorry Major!) but found him too dangerous as a companion on quests. He can shout too and he once shouted me right off a mountain. Once I stopped laughing, I divorced him and sent him packing back to the Palace. (It IS fun to live in the Palace, though.)

I really like Balimund, he's the sweetest man but hard to look at, so I never did manage to make it to the temple with him. Got cold feet at the last minute.

I would like to try Gregor if he can be married. He's the housecarl for the homestead which is closest to Whiterun but still in the Pale--I can't spell the name of the place without looking it up, so I won't try. That man is HANDSOME. When I turned around in Skald's longhouse and saw him walking up to me....well, never mind. He gives Ulfric a run for his money.

I don't believe in leaving my husbands at home. We should fight together. I take them wherever I can.
