Bug with thieves guild ?

I have a bedlem quest to go to raven rock and rob 500 . Yet i have stole allmost all loot form town i can find. And never get the quest done . is the quest buged ?

That quest is finiky about what counts, also if people like you small items don't count as stolen.

Personally I generally only did numbers and burglary/sweep jobs as their both simple and time efficent.

You only need to do 5 of these quests,any sort, for Delvin or Vex in four of the holds. Riften doesn't count.Then you get the special jobs offered.

Maraketh's a major pain to get the quests for, though, so you'll have to resort to savescumming, more than likely, unless you've the patience of a stereotypical saint. Choose the job type you want then, as soon as Delvin/Vex finishes talking, quick save before the job comes up. Might take a little practice to get the timing right (so make a regular save just before you start on it), but when you do, you can just quick load over and over until you get jobs for Maraketh or whatever other city you want.

I've already unlocked the safe, crown, and all stalls and haven't even done the first major job your given. Mostly this was because I didn't like working out of a crumbling cess pit, plus setting up the guild shops gives you a good marketplace to sell your wares you aquire while adventuring.

Though I really wonder why when I randomly got kicked out once (not sure what happened) Vex acted like 2,000 gold was alot of gold when I already had over 100k on me.

You have to be very sneaky for the Bedlam Jobs. If anybody sees you taking the item, it doesn't count. That could be why it won't let you complete the quest. Only take items that are marked "steal" and make sure no one sees you. Go for several high value items, that way you only need to take four or five things for the quest to complete.

I ran across something like this just a day or two ago. The quest finally showed up as complete when I opened a chest in another town (?). I think I switched from dong Delvin's quest to Vex's, so it might have been in same town. I know I said this is stupid, then thank God. it completed.
