No light or fire in the game?!
I have a problem since the first day I installed Skyrim, it's about light rays and flames are invisible. For example, in the spell "Flames" only it's visible a little flame in your hand and the enemy burning, but that's all.
And the light rays are simply invisible, so I can't do a mission of the College of Mages in which you have to manipulate the rays of light.
Any idea why this is happening??
Thanks, and sorry for the bad english.

Hello. Before anyone can help you, please go ahead and let us know:

1)System specifiactions and how you have set up your game.

2)Mods:how many,do you know of any incompatibilities between them,is your load order proper?

3)is your PC/laptop clean inside? When it was the last time you internally cleaned it?

I'm pretty sure it isn't about graphics specifications because for example when I play in 1st person I can see flames in the torch you can carry, but if I play in 3rd person the flames are invisible. But maybe that's because another reason.
The mods aren't the problem because it happens before I installed anyone...

It would still help us diagnose the problem

Sorry, but without any technical information you are alone with your crashes.N-E-V-E-R assume blindly that your hardware is well, if you haven't taken all necessary steps for housekeeping it and configuring properly.

You might have a wonderful computer, and nobody here is going to criticise anything-for good or for bad-but unless you are willing to be just a bit open minded in a users gaming forum, don't expect magical enlightenment from above to solve the crashes.

Skyrim is a wonderful game, and despite poorly coded and programmed in certain areas, it's technologically advanced and demanding even two years after release, and can and will eat your computer alive along with you if you not tread carefully.

You have been warned,we are here to help you if you are in the mood.

Minimum specs on any graphics card to enable the light rays to appear seems to be 1Gb with DirectX 11 capability, with at least 4Gb of RAM. It sounds like your system is way above this in terms of specs. Have you tweaked the graphics options in the loader, before you hit 'play'?

This happened to me, back when I ran Skyrim on my integrated graphics card, which had no RAM of its own. (Don't ask me how, it was awful.)

Are you using an integrated graphics card?

This problem went away for me, after I upgraded to a Radeon HD series card with 1 gb of RAM. It doesn't take a terribly high-tier card to run Skyrim, as mine is an HD 7750, but you do need a decent one.
