So I recently started adding mods to Skyrim to make the graphics better, and it's going well. I've installed around 10 mods so far, it's fun, and it's really worth it and my Skyrim looks great. There's only one thing. WHY THE F*CK ARE MY GRAPHICS MODS MAKING MY PERFORMANCE BETTER? I really am grateful, but it's just weird! Share your thoughts :)

The vanilla code is loaded with trash code and extra bits and pieces resulting from constant patching. aslo, the vanilla graphics are built for consoles, and are innefficient for PC. your performance boost is likely due to efficient coding, and all around quality modding. also, i recall that there is a mod which allows your game to use more of your PCs RAM, but im fairly sure that was made into an official patch a while ago.
SKSE installed?...

Well, Enhanced Eyes, Like 3 Shader Mods, Climates Of Tamriel, W.A.T.E.R., HD Fire, Flora Overhaul, and Distanced Detail,
Still...It's a mystery...

That lot would probably turn my computer off before I got the chance to press a key :3

If you are running ENB, chances are you have AA, FXAA etc. on Skyrim setting off (so ENB can work correctly).

Provide that you don't utilise too much effect on ENB it can make your performance better, since Skyrim own graphics effect is not that optimised.
