So my computer specs are in between the required and recomended, so I was wondering if someone can tell me if my specs are good enough to run Skyrim GOTYE with good FPS and graphics (also room for big mods)
Specs:
CPU: 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
MEMORY: 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
GRAPHICS CARD: NVIDIA GeForce 9600m GT 512 VRAM

Thanks in advance

I'd say so, mine aren't very impressive either but I can enjoy console-quality graphics while still running multiple mods and what-not. Hell, my system is just right out the box, no fancy card or anything.
BTW: Hop on over to kinguin to purchase your steam key for the legendary edition for less than $25USD. I was browsing the site looking for something else to buy and noticed it, figured I'd share.

for sure
My specs are roughly the same, and I'll tell you now...don't hold your breath. This game is very demanding...fps suffers...you will have to play it on med / low settings for smooth gameplay..

As for big mods, you can forget that untill you upgrade the comp...ain't gonna happen, not yet till you upgrade...BUT having said that, you still can enjoy a good game if you get immersive mods that ADD to the game play..there is a good result from typing 'immersive Skyrim mods' into youtube, they will bring up different mods you can get. I recommend you look into:
Sky UI 4, SKSE, and a good gameplay immersive mod to look into is 'Frostfall' (I been suggesting it a lot recently lol, I have just installed it and boy do these three mods alone make a big difference for starters...

I also recommend highly, the Nexus Mod Manager for ease of downloading and installation. NMM also lets you know if and when an updated version of your mods is released on the nexus and offers to update there and then for you..Handy..

They're FREE and make the game's value for money skyrocket...and they don't affect performance like those 'big mods' you are probablly thinking about, great to start with while you have a low spec system, like me...

For some handy links to these mods and tutorials on modding etc, check out the pinned thread in the TES V discussion lobby.

For getting the whole lot in one go, the bundle is a reasonable price. If you really want to save money, buy the stand alone Skyrim, and just get the three DLC's at a later date, once they are cheaper, it is very do-able as Skyrim is a great game for taking your time with...

All there is to this game is it's stand alone and 3 DLC's....that's it.. (I'm not sure if you get a digital version of the game guide with the Legendary Edition, haven't looked but I'm gonna look at getting that in hard copy anyway..I like books)

You could definitely play it with no problem and still add a lot of mods. Just stay away from HD texture packs and you should be fine.

My stuff is lower than what you have and I play in High quiality. No lag or issues moving around and I also have Win. Vista. Nothing special and pretty. Got it from my bro and he's cheap, had to put new parts in myself. x.x Literately bare minimum specs.

Before I made changes:
1GB RAM
Standard VC for the OS
Standard CPU

After:
3GB RAM DDR2
Nvida GeForce 430
Still the same CPU

You'll be able to run it well enough. Its more than worth it.

Your laptop GPU is getting old, but I would guess it can play Skyrim on low settings.

I am assuming the "m" after the 9600m GT is not a typo. ["m" stands for mobile]

Just use http://www.canyourunit.com/ and http://www.yougamers.com/ to see if your computer can run the game.

C) Good/large mods? Not likely, sorry..

P.S Listen to Dan
