You could try using MSI afterburner to turn your video card fan speed up. If that doesnt work your card might be on it's way out.

Every few months I unplug the power from my 'puter, open it up and fish heaps of fluff out of the case and the fans and vents. The damn thing's like a little static vacuum cleaner!

Edit: I also use a paint brush and the real vacuum to get all the rubbish out of the cooling fins in there. UNPLUG THE PC and go very slow and very careful

you cpu, or gpu coolers probably need to be cleaned , also if you have an nvidia gpu the 320.xx drivers run really hot for me , that could be the cause .

i dont know where in the world you are but here in az. it's summer and rather hot , i cant run games at the same settings as i did 2 mons ago , ambient temp does matter,

adding a case fau is nice , but inspect your gpu/cpu fans and coolers with the machine running ,so you know the fans are spinning up and free of dust and debris , be very careful , dont short out your computer

No game is responsible for overheating your computer. It overheats becaue of inadequate cooling. That's YOUR fault.
Clean it out, get proper airflow, ( front intake, rear exhaust, and possibly a additional side instake or bottom intake) and/or use a 3rd party ap like MSI Afterburner to make a custom gpu fan profile.

"If" it's not because of overheating, it might be from your power supply being a piece of junk. Is your power supply a crappy brand name?

And about static discharge: All you have to do is touch something metal and you're grounded. It's not the intimidating dangerous thing some make it out ot be.
Depress the power button on your case for 5 seconds to discharge left over power, put it down on the table, take the sidepanel off, and touch the PSU. There, you're grounded.

No one can help you but yourself, unless you want to waste $$ on a "tech" doing what you could do yourself.

there's no need to be so agro , you sound all mad , like a crazy guy/gal , if you want to give advice thats great ,but you need not chastise the OP , relax , , having a computer run hot is not a war crime ,

"Agro"? Didn't you troll me last week? I don't care if you get all but hurt, and read so deep you find some subjective " tone" you object to. Nor did I say it's a war crime.
Your choice of words is flat out trolling, while mine may be blunt, but not inuslting, unlike yours.

It's not a bad thing per say, but it's a waste of the AP's ability. You can set a custom profile to run quieter if you like, or faster for lower load temperature. Typically used to compensate for heat from overclocking.
I overclock my 7870 Myst to a modest 1100mhz core clock, and have the fan spin at 35% idle, and 50% at 70c, with a 5% increase every 5c. It never goes over 78c.

no that's fine , set your max temps , and mins so if it goes over say 70 celcious the fan(s) go full
You don't need to arbitrarally crank it it to full speed just because it hits 70c. 70c is a very typical load temp, if not higher. But..have fun with your jet engine. The idea is you can find a medium of acceptable temperature vs noice level. full speed is silly, unnecessary and very loud.
