Dungeons are repetitive and boring
There's really nothing real to separate one dungeon from another: you have some corridors, the same few enemies, the exact same puzzles that require no thought or challenge, and a boss monster and loot chest at the end. After about a hundred caves, barrows, and Dwemer ruins, none of them really different from each other, there is really nothing that would drive me into looking inside the next.

I haven't found a mod that would change the dungeons to anything more interesting, which is weird because I can't be the only one that thinks this. Is there a mod available that does something?

Yes, and the same can you say about your life....Life is a long chain of repetitions, and even so, many manage to find the good things in it...to have the imagination that maybe tomorrow will be better...to be glad for every good thing that happen, and try to forget what is bad.

Every single thing has been done before....every mouse click has been done before...everything is a repitation...that be if it is Skyrim...Wargames...Flying games...Strategy games...You name it..and I can say they are repetive.....BECAUSE you can never fill anything with just new things that you have never seen before....when you have taken a step...then the next is repetive action...when you have waved Goodby..then next time it is repetiv......so bottom line is....if you find it boring...then it is boring....I can still enjoy it after 2100 hours....maybe it is the difference in attitude...and not the games fault?
I have no idea what you just said.
I would definitely enjoy it more if there were more 'treats' like for instance journals of people who tried to explore those places, or a bit more history about the bosses etc. It just seems very much random to me, when playing Fallout 3 I would always find something that would interest me. Here, well, it still is enjoyable, but I feel a bit dissapointed about that part.

That was like, Oblivion dungeon. Copy pasta.
Skyrim dungeons are an improvement from Oblivion, at least, because they're much smaller and more compact, and like Katzper said, they occasionally have a little something to separate them from one another - even if it's just a skeleton with a diary at the bottom of a half-dug mine, or something else like that. But even with that, they have far too little in real distinctiveness and tend to end up looking very similar to one another.

To do that, you'd not only need legitimately different types and templates, but also a whole load of textures, more monsters, more little stories and diaries, and such things. Obviously far too much for the developers, but I'd imagine there would have been some crazy modder who had decided it to be a jolly good thing to do.

As a fellow senior my friend that is one of your best posts ever.

Personally, I find most of the dungeons to be quite distinct, even within the same biome. Corridors and stairwells might be a bit samey, but even staying out of end rooms leaves you with a lot of variety for room types and layouts.

It probably helps that I tend to move at a snail's pace through dungeons, rather than rushing ahead to the next encounter or puzzle, so I notice the differences more often...
Exactly Gumby. Also when you play through them the second time you realize you missed things the first time. I have a real love for this game.

Oh, so I guess it is just me.
Not as bad as Oblivion. You got a few options pal: Go look for retiles on Nexus, OR make some yourself. Im sorry the devs did not work hard enough to make very zone/ dungeon unique as a snowflake. But I hope you find a solution to your issue. I have Armor OCD and i just downloaded armor mods instead of posting in hub.

Well, the reason I posted was that I found nothing. Had I found a mod for this, I wouldn't have made a thread.
It's very similar to Oblivion in that regard. Although it's easy to see(if you played TESIV) that they went an extra mile with Skyrim, dungeons being(in comparison) tremendously more dynamic than those you could find in Cyrodiil. But that extra work can't go too far on its own, and I think it makes the monotony of their execution even more noticeable, ultimately failing to engage the player and convey any real sense of importance.
i dont think its very repetative. sure you get the same order's but the battle is diffrent every time. its never the same.

I bought a 30 inch monitor and I have found things going through the Dungeons again with it.

So look everywhere a chest can be in the strangest places and hold valuable loot.
