meta critic uses an weighted average so allit take is one bad review to pull the whoe thign down. the user reviews can bea much better reflection on metacritc as they all use the same scale.i personally havent played dragonborn yet but dawngaurd was a ncie additon. i saw it somewhat like kights of the nine form oblivion, no new landmasses , jsut new stuff to do in the existing world

As someone who's played all the DLC's, Dawnguard was cool but it's the mods that helped it shine. Same for dragonborn, really cool but again it's the mods that made it worth the money. Hearthfire was a cool concept but failed on execution in my eyes. I'm NOT saying it wasn't worth the money but it had a lot missing and had some real potential.

it's like knights of the nine, except you can choose the bad guys. I enjoyed it, it's better quality than alot of the base guild story lines. Also gives you crossbows, which I actually think is the most important aspect of the dlc especially if you like to use mods.

Some of the best mods take the longest to make,
(look at the modification evolution of Morrowind), and they are well enjoyed by those willing to revisit them..The completion junkies don't care, they're soon off playing Arkham asylum on the x box again...There is no 'end' to modding a game that is as good as the Elder Scrolls. It should last for a number of years to come.... (crosses his paws)

With regards to DLC, I don't think Hearthfires was worth the active content. I much rather enjoyed the sandbox construction side of it,,,but then again, I just prefer to mod, so Hearthfires, I haven't even bothered much as I have the others....

I really like what Dawnguard dose to the existing vampire NPCs. It adds a little more depth into the vampires and to an extent the werewolves. I reccomend it, but you could wait for the dlc to go on sale if you're not sure.

I actually prefer the Dawnguard DLC to the Dragonborn
DLC. mostly because vampire lords are f*****g awesome. Also it gives more depth into the history of the Elder scrolls.
