What, Skyrim?....I think Bethesda Knew what they were doing...seeing as they created the Lore....

not if you're asking what kind of mods i like LOL.

Bethesda can't even keep attitudes straight in Skyrim. I mean, the Khajiit caravans aren't even allowed inside the outer walls of cities, never mind the actual city itself, yet when you play as one, nobody gives you so much as a funny look as you stride into the city, so what makes you think they're incapable of screwing up their own lore?

true but funny
good point, however I wouldn't say they have screwed it up.. b/c I'd say this is accounted for when you are challenged at the gate...He won't let you in because they are on lock down...He could also be saying this because he doesn't like you as being a Khajiit and you can use your Lore friendly imagination to understand this.

You however, are the Dragon Born, and you are able to make yourself an exception and enter by way of a speech check...

Though as you wander around all the holds of Skyrim, you will notice that they have even added encounter-dialogue as the guards pass, they refer to you based on your race; Khajiit comments are not meant to be friendly for a reason!....evidence of some nice subtleties in the Lore of the Khajiit race/treatment in Skyrim...

Lore friendly. If it's not lore freindly then it's probably an attempt to make the game like some other game...why not just go play that other game then?

If you enjoy RPGs, as in role-playing games, then you know that the lore is the law.

Just because you're Dragonborn shouldn't mean anything; you should not be of the beast races and be allowed into a place like Windhelm, period, much less still somehow be able to join the Stormcloaks or even go up to Ulfric and have a chat.

Divines help me, but I'll use Morrowind as an example; even if you are Hortator of all the Great Houses, recognized as Nerevarine by the Ashlanders, proven to be the Incarnate, Nerevar reborn by holding the Moon-and-Star and saving all of Morrowind, the Cammona Tong will not allow you to join because you're an Outlander. Doesn't matter if you're Dunmer, if you're the reincarnation of a Chimer hero; you're still a dirty n'wah and they want nothing to do with you because you were not born in Morrowind.
Well, it is all happy in my little world so....meow :3

Pretty sure when it comes down to it the player gets things done so they stop caring that you a giant cat, lizard or elf. Though I'm also going to say that in each game I think that there is a "correct" race choice, and in skyrim it's nord so the games designed mostly around that. Beth was just lazy in making up an excuse to let you in as a beast race which could have been done easily with a simple conversation. There's pretty much a boat load of reasons your more important than the caravans, they just didn't make any dialog for it.

mehh one of the rare times I think some DLC should have been considered .. The Nords and Imperials as base game and just about all the rest should have been better thought out DLC .. but it is what it is .. there's a couple of mods that sort of fix some things

I agree with Sparkly Sparkly Pokon. This has been one of the BIG flaws in the game for me. i Stopped playing as my khajiit simply because the way i was treated was lore breaking for me, and i never got over the fact that i could just walk into any hold and talk to the most racist person in skyrim (leader of Stormcloaks) as if i was a nord. Also it is a well known fact that ALL khajiit are treated with suspicion because of their reputation as theives and whatnot. so then why does everyone great me with open arms? same goes for any elf race, i am a high elf and can join stormcloaks with out raising suspicion? what if im a spy or something?

They should have stuck to having consequences for choosing what race to play. it also would of increased the re-playability factor.

I play as a khajiit, and everywhere I go I am told to keep my hands to myself, that my honeyed words wont wash with them that I am a thief, and they have their eye on me :/..and so I find they actually acknowledge me as a Khajiit, which is cool also when in combat when they call me a Dead cat..Pretty funny..

Hmm, yeah Khajiit originate from Elsweyr..but my Khajiit was Born in Skyrim, so effectively he can follow the ways of the Nord if he wants. He has thicker fur, he has a big build, he can Shout!....Doesn't seem very Lore breaking for me...

It depends if you want to let your imagination liberate yourself from the strict codex of it, or if you want to interpret more fluctuation without actually breaking the Lore....Get creative and see where your Character will take you!....Hopefully it will be warmer sands....

yea but Dan... they say those things no matter what race you play..
and i do use my imagination, hence why i have played 600H. but they were lazy in race creation and interaction.

That's not a problem though...it fits. When I'm playing a Nord. The Guard doesn't call me a Khajiit like he does now (as I am one now).....they are customised and thought out instead of generic...

yes the guards reconize what race you are playing BUT THAT IS IT. their feelings dont change/they say keep you're hands to you're self no matter what race, that is all generic and thats the fact of it. And also it is ONLY THE GAURDS who reconize what race you play, just about every other NPC out there mentions nothing about you're race... even ulfric
