Call me crazy....
I was thinking about doing it but wasn't sure, I was thinking just possibly make a train house mod, one you can customize and travel in and no loading screens... meaning you can stop it and jump off kill some bandits, get back on and begin your journey again....but I wasn't sure if sounds like a good idea to anyone else...

A train? First of all, good luck finding enough flat terrain. Second step would be creating tunnels through the 98% you couldn't get flat. I don't even want to imagine the amount of mods it would be incompatable with.

Why not modify the airship so you can do that? Hitch it up to a team of dragons while you're at it. Of course, you'd have to be able to unhitch one to ride around on.

A wagon-train or a mule-train would also work. A boat to float down the rivers and coastline? I like the concept of having a mobile storage/ base of operations but I do think the locomotive idea is a bit loco for sure.

If you got the time and commitment to create a mod of that size go for it.

OK first of all if you got the experience you can build tranks that go up fills, and yes you can make tunnels, and with my crew it could be done over some time so thanks for the criticism when you don't know the capabilities...

I thought about a small flat train car pulled by horse on the pre existing tracks for fallout nv but skyrim would a flying airship sounds cool

When I read "No loading screens" my heart sank... a lot
If it were that easy to create a seamless intergration between two areas then we would not have loading screens, at all.
As for JUST making the tracks and tunnels? Come back to reality for a moment, who will want to put this much effort into re-scaping the land alone? Just anyone? Maybe if they were being paid a fair amount...
Parts of this aren't thought out at all. "Train" "House" and "Jump off and kill things" are what I am getting... Can you yourself put these together? Tell me the steps of how it would be done, even if you look it up, and I will tell you if they are either feasible or not doable.
Lastly, where did "if you got the experience" come into this? If you got the experiene then you'd be thinking otherwise for the whole thing. Also, Crew? First time I've heard of them (apologise to that guy now)

Have you considered purchasing Train Simulator 2013? It would cost money but save time.
