By the way I have clicked capslock and I do run like a normal person, but when I click shift I go reaaaal slow like, should I not be running and using up my stamina?
Roscaria 9. jun 2013 kl. 4:35
I find walking too slow and run all the time. You use up your stamina when you sprint which is via holding down both the left shift and alt keys if I remember correctly.
Edit. If you are overloaded then yes you do walk even slower than before. Check you weight total.

This is a moderately annoying, but easily fixed bug in the game. Sometimes, when you're holding down Shift and someone runs up and talks to you, the game (or at least your keyboard) sets you in the running phase permanently, which reverses what the Shift key does, which would make you walk, not run.

The solution to this is to press the Caps Lock key again so that you walk, not run when you press w, a, s, d in order to move, which then allows you to run using w, a, s, d and Shift.

Have you tried completely emptying your inventory?

More than "moderately annoying".
This bug has gotten me killed a couple of times, when suddenly as a tough enemy is attacking my character cannot move properly or respond as per normal...and while I struggle to break out of the glitch and regain control of my charater...I get killed.
More like very annoying, I would say.

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/32229 I found and now use this mod which makes walking pace so much better even when overloaded.

Edit: Realistic Humanoid Movement is the name of the mod.

THIS WORKS thanks mate
I was doing a simple quest at the Giant Inn when i wanted to like be normal i guess and press and hold Alt which made me walk, i then tried to run while holding Shift and W like usual and make you use up stamina, i am not overcumbored or whatever I still have heaps of space left in my inventory, but a person walked up to me and started talking to me when i was holding Alt, when we finished the convo i wasnt holding alt but still walking like slow not jogging, i held shift and tried to run didnt work i was still walking, i have to now hold alt to jog and then press shift while holding alt to sprint like wtf?? I dont want to always have caps lock on its annoying i tried to load the game further back so we didnt have the convo but i was still holding walking and couldnt sprint without holding alt pls

This has been known to fix the problem. Find a chair, sit on it if the option is available, then stand up.

I found that you can Caps Lock first to tide you over but next time you go through a door or something you can un caps lock and it'll go back to normal.

Does anybody know how to fix having to hold down alt and then you can move forward regularly? If i don't hold down alt, I move really slowly. Anybody?
