The price will go down in time all games do. But this game is so popular and has so many fans I doubt if it will be anytime soon. There is so much to do in this game that you could play only this game and never have time for another.

In my opinion except for the minor bugs when adding mods at times this is the finest game I have ever seen.

I see so many of these posts..

The price differs depending upon which country you are in when you access the Steam store. Also, no the price will not be lowering shortly. Keep an eye out for sales (30%-50% off) which are frequent enough or buy a retail copy from an outlet that's offering a better price. Or just simply don't play.

Bethesda have put more work than most people could begin to comprehend into the Elder Scrolls series, so I believe the price that they charge is completely reasonable.

And alot of people say yeah well I pay bills etcetera etcetera... I bought Skyrim when I had just been made redundant from a retail store and I paid only £22 for it. That was when it had only been out for a little bit also. It's really not that hard to get the funds together if this is a game you're serious in purchasing.

Hopefully less of these kind of posts will be popping up, as they're all over this forum. O_o

The game has dropped to $40.00 at Wal-Mart, Bestbuy and Gamestop. It's time for Steam to follow suit.

It just dropped everywhere to $39.99, except steam. I'm sure we'll see that drop reflected here soon.

No; Demand says it all.

Also, if you didn't buy crap games like Black Ops II for $60, you could easily get Skyrim.

Demand doesn't count in the normal way for digital content, there's no limit to how many copies of Skyrim there can be if they are digital copies. The price is still high because people are still buying it at it's current price. Just because a game is more than a year old doesn't mean it should be in the bargain bin, especially one as good as Skyrim. When people stop buying Skyrim at $60 Bethesda will tell Valve to lower the Steam price.

Also to other people complaining about Steam prices being high while everywhere else isn't, the reason is because Steam is CONVIENENT. You buy it and you get it immediately. You don't have to drive home from the store or wait 5-12 days for it to arrive. Convienence costs money, it's how the world works. If you don't like the Steam price then buy it somewhere else, you still have to verify your disc copy through Steam and it updates through Steam so there's no downside to buying a hard copy. Stop complaining about the prices, buy the game on Steam, buy it on Amazon buy it at Best Buy I don't care just stop coming to the forums ant ♥♥♥♥♥ing about the price.
