Any Loot Mods?
I'm finding that the loot I get from basic low level monsters is way too much, makes me rich within the first few levels. Is there any mod to lower the amount or quality of loot? I don't find the game that challenging when I get amethysts and garnets off of almost every draugr that I kill.

Wut? I had to sell every boots and pants of every bandit I came across to get by at low level. I'm sure they have a new legend about that guy who raids bandits settlements and sells their pants in Skyrim now.

Then I started to get high level loot, and nobody had money to buy it. :(

And asking to reduce loot is BLASPHEMY. Any gamer will tell you so. Begone, heretic!
I'm not asking for you to get reduced loot. I'm asking if there is a mod that does so for those who choose to d/l such a thing, because I find the loot to be way too forgiving for myself, and I can easily brease through the game, even with an advanced difficulty mod on master.
There's Morrowloot. Not sure if that's exactly what you're looking for...
Also uncertain how up to date it is or compatible with DLC's either,
so use caution.

Might give you a starting point for your search at any rate...
look for overhaul mods. they tend to increase difficulty. also, editing the loot table is very easy with the creation kit. you could do it urself
Chill, I was just joking. I'm pretty sure some people will have a seizure reading you though. ^^

How the hell are you becoming rich with the loot within the first levels? All you find is hide and leather on a good day. Or maybe I should ask what's your definition of rich? I mean, to buy and fully decorate Breezehome, the cheapest house in the game, it takes a while. At least for me it did on my first playthrough. I usually don't have much money until I begin to craft seriously.
Thing is, I do not craft anything and I don't plan to. I strictly sell only loot to make my money. I have 5k on level three now. I feel rich for such a low level character... Way to early in the game.
buy something then. like a horse. and you should plan on crafting. smithing skill allows you to improve your gear and also contributes to your leveling.
Hm, reading your first post again and seeing the edit, I understand better. I don't sell anything I could use, so I keep these gems to craft. And since you don't find gold or silver under every rock, I don't use them much in the end, even with Transmute.

You don't plan to craft at all? Your endgame should be interesting with random basic gear. ^^

I don't craft, don't plan to, don't want to. I found it to make the game too easy. I either buy items to use from vendors or find them in loot drops.

i get that... but you should make stuff to raise the skill. even if you're throwing that stuff in a chest never to be seen again. the skill is valuable.
You should play another game. Skyrim is an easy game, but playing only one tenth of what you can't do doesn't make much sense. Try The Witcher 2 on Dark Difficulty if you want some challenge. It's an awesome game too.

god, maybe its just my pc, but the unresponsive combat controls in that game made it hard enough on normal.
Skyrim is an easy game, that can be made more difficult, with mods. I love Skyrim, and it is easy, but now mostly due to the loot system. If there's a mod to change that, this game for me would be near perfect... If I can't find anything, perhaps I will have to look into the character creation kit myself, like someone above has mentioned.

I had to learn the timing, but didn't have any problem with unresponsive controls. You need to learn to time your moves in that game, everything takes its own time and you can't just change a move in the middle of it. If you have any lag, make sure you unchecked Ubersampling in the options, and disable the mouse acceleration in the .ini.

Sorry for hijacking the thread ItchyBum, I'll leave it alone by now. :)

its funny... most loot mods i can find add MORE loot.

well theres http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9714 but it hasnt been updated in a year,

but since you dont plan on smithing, morrowloot sounds perfect for you if you can find it.

Skyrim nexus has a forum thread called MOD detectives where if you post aking about a mod, other people will try to find it for you.
