the road most travelled
what is the road you travelled most in skyrim, oblivion and morrowind ?

i like to talk aout certain things especially in TES games it motivates me to play it even more !
to be honest i tought about starting this discussion after i heard the soundtrack in solstheim " the road most travelled" which reminded me of morrowind.
the road i travelled most in morrowind was from balmora to vivec.
the road i most travelled in oblivion was from skingrad to cheydinhal.
the road i travelled most in skyrim was from dawnstar to solitude !

I fast travel quite a bit but do the walk from Riverwood to Whiterun. Mainly because something always seems to happen along there, like someone trying to rob you or being attacked by some animal.

these things always happen no matter where you (manually) travel.

thats the whole point of travelling in tes games :D
and i started this discussion in hope that people would use the fast travel system less and travel on foot more only then can you feel immersed in skyrim !

I nearly never use fast travel, I always just hoof it no matter where I'm going. I only fast travel when there is a quest that has an NPC attached to it that I don't want to have die or the outcome of the quest is not to my liking. The quest for Eldergleam sap is so far the only one I might fast travel.

I don't buy/use a horse or use the carriage system because of the random encounters. I meander off the road/path whenever possible when I travel somewhere I've already been. Mine nodes and ingredients are so easy to find when you stray off the roads.

In point of fact when I walk, I sneak. So I am constantly building my sneak skill as I travel.

So for me EVERY road is the most traveled when I play. ;)

So you like to wander around in the weeds, woods, and shrubbery like I do, eh? ;)

I call it "being a just-off-the-turnip-cart tourist" myself, but lollygagging works as well. ;)

haha :D the exploration in these kind of games is priceless especially because of the random enounters, but not only that i just LOVE the view i mean seriously.
did you ever come out of a dungeon that was so intense that you forgot you were playing a game and when you reached the exit you were just mind boggled by the amazing view !
the best views so far are from bridges high up along the road to solitude and markarth.
