Dragonborn - How long did it take you?
Hey fellow Dovakiins,

I just finished up Dragonborn [yippie did it in 1 week], and I am glad to say it was awesome!!!
I wanted to give an idea of how much content and how long it takes to play, not just for those currently playing, but for those currently on the fence on whether or not to buy Dragonborn.

So, how long did it take me?
Approximately 33 hours to do 99% of the quests and achievements. I did not finish a few quests due to not having the adequate level/skills or takes too long [Ebony Warrior, Paid in Full, Pain in the Necklace]. Also did 9 of 10 achievements [could not do the “Smith Stalhrim” since my smithing is low].

So how long did it take you to beat Dragonborn? What did you think?

I'm pretty much done with the main quest. Took me a week, thanks in part to my dang job lol. As for the side quests and misc. quests I haven't really gotten to all of them yet.

Took me about five and a half hours, but I only did a couple of side quests, (The one with the Blade beam sword thing, and the one to cleanse the Stones, though I don't know if that's a sidequest) and also I went back to Skyrim because I wanted to fortify my Dragonplate armor.

Not sure, maybe about 30 hours. That didn't include doing everything (achievements but not all of the locations or sidequests).

Liked it very much and looking forward to running through it with a different build.

I've only been attacked by 2 dragons since starting Dragonborn, the day it was released. The first dragons soul didn't transfer to me because of some glitch, and the 2nd dragon Miraak took the soul. Without souls I can't start the mission to do something with the windstone. I installed the unofficial dragonborn patch to fix the soul absorbing aspect but, like I said, Miraak took the 2nd dragons soul, and I haven't been attacked since.

How ofter have you guys had dragon attacks? Dragonborn also wiped out the many extra souls I had from the main Skyrim game.

....nice....

Around 8 hours but I've only done the main quest and the Skaal quests plus 2 Raven Rock quests so I got a lot more to do yet.

The main quest wasn't too bad although I did try it when it was released but I got my backside kicked by those ash things as I was on my second playthrough and only up to level 25 at the time so I levelled a bit more and tried it again, completing the main quest last night.

I don't want to give any spoilers but I do think the Daedric Prince will make another appearence.

I've had a couple within Solstheim itself, one after the Dwemer ruins, another at the Word Wall for Bend Will. I found out Miraak doesn't take every soul, just some of them. I guess they figured if he took all the souls you got, it would render the DLC unbeatable. (Since, if I'm not mistaken, you have to unlock Bend Will manually, unlike Clear Skies or Dragonrend)

I also read that Bend Will allows you to ride Odahviing. So now I have something new to do with my bestest dragon pal.

EDIT: Sorry, three Dragons. I almost forgot another one dropped in after I cleansed one of the Stones with Bend Will.

This is assured, since Daedric Princes are always given a quest in each game since Daggerfall. It helps that they're among the more popular recurring characters in the series.

Did 95% of DG, including discovering everything, helping etc....

It took me 2 days of playing, and i am still waiting for....a message (no spoilers)

I may have a couple of things to do here and there....i am guessing DB added a good 20+ hours for me.

That is why, i started DB when i was "completely" done with the main game and dawnguard. Learned all the shouts (all 3 words) and what not. I started DB about 4-5 days after launch, even though i pre-ordered it.

I started a new character, went a different path this time and doing it all over again ;)

Did most of the Main, Achievement and well done side stuff. I spent about 15-20 hours.

I love the concept of this DLC, but I cannot mine any ore veins, I can't see storn read the damn black book, I cannot ascend by floating in tel'mithrim, and if I used console commands, I am sure I would also get the plethora of glitches in the miraak encounter... Nothing that I have tried so far has helped... Storn just stands there...

This is particularly frustrating for me as I have put so many hours into this game... good thing I keep many save files... or I would be toast...

I'm going to finish it as soon as BETHESDA MAKE A PATCH :l
I can't ride the dragon to Miraak :/
Giskard Feb 14, 2013 @ 12:46pm
Too me about 15 hours and I have 1 location to do and I have done everything. It is a Good DLC.
