Making The Most Of Skyrim W/ Mod and W/out Expansions
I'm going to get this game soon , without the expansions, and I just wanted to know how to make the most of this game. I have played Skyrim on consoles a lot, but Skyrim on PC is obviously the better choice. Things I really wanted were more quests, much harder difficulty than Master from the start, less money as rewards for quests and/or more costly prices for items from NPC's, basically I wanted my experience to be a hard one. Are there any mods that will do these things for me?

Yes, you will have to search the workshop and nexus for what you need.

There are several difficulty mods. There is one that doubles the difficulty of all the choices meaning adept becomes master and master is 2x harder. Also deadly dragons mod makes Dragons, well, deadly. I'm not sure about price mods. There are also plenty of dungeon and quest mods, check skyrim nexus and the steam workshop, they both have categories for that. Also, get SkyUI and the skyrim script extender(theres a link to that on the SkyUI nexus page) it makes navigating menus on the pc way better

Or you could also search the Elder Scrolls Alliance...

Duel: Combat Realism makes the combat less clunky, quicker, and generally makes foes less vulnerable and less forgiving of mistakes. You can always up the difficulty by making rules for yourself, like no quicksaves, no looted potions, don't use certain spells, and so on. There are also a few survival mods out there that make the game much more of a struggle, like Frostfall.
