Game Crashing Near Falkreath. Help
My Game keeps crashing around the area between Falkreath Riverwood and Helgen. I've got Dawgaurd, Hearthfire, and Dragon Born. I also have 179 different mods so finding out if it is one of them has been a problem. If anyone knows what it is please let me know.

I heard Dragonborn and the "Open City Mods" don't play nice, I would check if you have that mod.

But good lord, 179 mods, it's going to take you a while to find yoru conflict.

Do you have the Unofficial Patches, including the latest one for DB?

Good luck in tracking down what is causing your problem with your mods. None are designed to work with DB at this time AFAIK. Mod bug hunting is NOT fun.

I have the skyrim unoffical patch.

I had this problem a few days ago and it stoped. At the time it was just the road leading up to helgen and the area around it. Later it was the blacksmith in river wood. Now it's this area. I've uninstalled any mods that change andthing in that area but it keeps happening.

If you disable all mods, then you need to start a new game; then verify whether it's fixed or not.

I might just uninstall all my mods, because there are alot of them I'm tired of, and i'll just reactivate the ones I still want to see if the problem is still there, and it will narrow down my possible conflicts

Having just the Skyrim Unofficial Patch when you have Dragonborn is known to cause problems. Not what you are describing, but still problems.

You could be having problems with having Dawnguard and Hearthfire without the accompanying unofficial patches. Try getting ALL the unofficial patches for content you have in your game. What do you have to lose? If they don't fix the problem at least one step finding out what is wrong is taken care of.

Try disabling the mods that affect the area. There may be a conflict between them.

While it's tied to a location so it's probably mod related, and definitely do try deactivating mods until you find one that doesn't crash there first. (try deactivating in batches of 5, 10 or so, rather than one at a time, it will take less time than trying every single mod one at a time. Once you've narrowed down the batch of mods that contains the culprit, it's easy to narrow down to the specific one) Start at the bottom and work your way up to avoid missing masters. Also make sure your load order is in good shape by using BOSS. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/6/? BOSS will also give you a rundown of all your mods after it's done and may point out some problem files.

But it may not be a mod that's actually installed at that moment, in which case you won't find a mod that's causing the problem. If a mod was uninstalled at some point, it may have left a script in your save file, and if it's trying to run that script but essential parts of it have been removed due to the mod being deactivated, the game freaks out. Look at your save game size, if it's about 25MB+ you quite likely have some orphaned scripts kicking around which are causing problems. There are a couple things you can try to fix this. First the simplest one. With 150+ mods, I am assuming you have the Skyrim Script Extender. so just open the console with the ~ key, and type "ClearInvalidRegistrations 1" and SKSE will remove orphaned scripts. If that doesn't work (it is a relatively new feature and a bit limited at the moment), Skyrim itself has a method for removing orphaned scripts, they are removed after 31 in-game days. Or it's supposed to, anyway, it doesn't always work. So go to a nice, quiet indoor location, and wait for 31 days straight, with a hard save before and after in fresh slots, see if that fixes it. The next thing to try is this: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/31675/? but it can have unintended side effects, and should only be used as a last resort if you're finding your game extremely laggy and crash-prone.

I'm having this problem as well, but I don't have Scenic Carriages. The only thing I updated recently were the Unofficial Patches.
