I feel the same way. A day one, Unofficial patch is a bit to quick for me. I'll wait a bit first. I want to finish a few quest lines before I go to the new area anyways.
I'd bet that if the patch team had waited a day or two before releasing the patch there would be people complaining about the delay. Too soon for you, too long a delay for others.
I'm sure this unofficial patch will be updated as new problems are identified, just as the other unofficial patches get updated as needed.
Tl:DR - the issue is pretty much solved if you download the new fixes, vanilla skyrim works fine, sometimes you have to actually "use" the node.
