Random thoughts before Dragonborn release for PC...
Well I've been sitting here contemplating about whether or not I should start a new character or not prior to the release of Dragonborn. I had the craziest idea of making an illusion/assassin character, then I got caught up reading a guide that had a mage/pugilist which actually rocked. Or should I keep my all range character for now and just find some quests in the workshop, since I pretty much beat the living hell out of every single quest in game. (Really hate repeatable quests though @_@) Anywho, if you guys got any cool ideas for characters and such just post below while I continue to pick my brain as to whether or not to start a new character. Thanks in kind. ~NeS

You don't need us to hold your hand. It's your choice solely. Think of it in the terms of, if you were to start a new character it would require another 100 and more hours to get your new character the right level so as you can travel to Solstheim without fear of dying from stronger creatures all the time. That might take weeks when Dragonborn will be out in a few days time. Logical choice would be to use your current character. That's my thoughts anyhow.

I'm just hoping Dragonborn will be compatible with the few dozen mods I currently have installed; Dawnguard was ok, so hopefully Dragonborn will be too.
Although, most of my mods are very "light"; they're not overly big mods that do massive changes.

LOL! Cool, but I was actually thinking of more along the lines of which type of character to build. I'm still going to keep my character, no way I'm going to delete over 100 hours of labor to do it all over again, that would be nuts. I was more or less thinking of different types of character builds, classes... that sort of thing. I've always had a knack for trying out different builds and characters, just wanted some input since I'm kind of tired of being an all out battle mage/warrior. Thanks for your thoughts though mate.

Rogue/mage would be worth a try.

I've been trying Dragonborn on 360 and a low level character will have a hard time. My sister is level 27 and dies regularly. My level 66 only found one truly challenging fight (Karstagg sucks). Reckon a character in the 40s would have the best time.

I'd go 50's. So as you have a suitable balance between health and stamina.

I was thinking about going with a Dark Elf character one that I have never used, my current character is a nord and solely a up in your face using brute force with also the capability of killing any bandit, falmer, giant, dragon, etc... with a one shot arrow kill.

Definetly will be making certain that my new character is around 50 and above. Although my current character is at 96, ah the joy of mods.

I normally start off with a Dunmer since Morrowind. My second choice is almost always either a Redguard, Nord, Breton or Imperial.

For now I'll be making a rouge/mage since I found a pretty good guide for one. Thanks for the suggestion there Sparhawk122.

I had a lot of fun playing a character who had no combat skills whats so ever. I had a few spell mods that added some damaging spells to the other schools but never did as much as a good old destruction spell

If you want to get the house in Raven Rock asap to store the loot you will be collecting (traveling back to Skyrim sucks as automatically brings you to Windhelm and my favorite house was Markarth) then once you arrive in Raven Rock venture to the East of town and help the guard captain fighting ash spawn. Complete the quest he gives you, wait a few, then complete the next quest to gain a nice manor

I know what you meen, Mognes, I am currently trying a healing/warrior, Heavy Amor, One handed. My first character is a archer/thief (which after I did the main quest and the war story line, I was one shotting most things) It is hard not to revert to the bow though. I hope this helps.

@valinhorn1 thanks for the spoiler, maybe you can tell me the whole story line so I can save $20. Didn't even know there was another house
