1. $20 is nothing.

2. Buying through STEAM allows me to both show my support for Bethesda and STEAM [since they get a bigger chunk of the proceeds].

3. STEAM is a more reputable retailer than GMG. As a concerned onliner buyer, I only spend my money at select trusted retailers.

I do not trust GMG.

Greenmangaming is legit. I've made a lot of purchases of Steam games through them over the years.

Too late...

Buying it on Steam took less effort. That was easily worth the $4 to me.

My opinion is my opinion. You can't do anything about that, and I will change it as I see fit. I do not wish to ever use GMG, if you want to, go right ahead, nobody is stopping you.

Idc where you get your games, I just don't get why anyone wouldn't trust GMG.

For me it's because GMG is much smaller company than Valve/Bethesda/Amazon/Gamespot/etc... and is an international company [since they're based in UK, i'm in US]

If a someone goes door-to-door offering services/products, I will probably just close the door. It's not because they are obviously trying to con me, heck, they could be perfectly legit, and offering services/products with the full intention on giving you what you pay for, as well as it being slightly cheaper, but there's the sliver of doubt there. I'm sure GMG is just fine and isn't going to completely mess up my computer, I've just seen more positive things about Steam than GMG, as well as some pretty negative things. At the end of the day, I'm more comfortable using something that I use a lot, more than something I haven't, even if it does mean that I'll be down a couple dollars here and there.

Steam is still required to run skyrim (and dragonborn too, obviously), when you buy from GMG you get the product key that allows you to add the game or DLC through the "activate a product on steam" button in the lower left here.

I bought both the skyrim maingame, and the DLCs from greenmangaming. Never had you use GMG own download service, I just activated their keys here.

I don't mind either service, I just buy where it's cheapest from trusted retailers. And GMG is one of them.

You still get it on steam, and bethesda gets their cut.

Why would you not trust a site like GMG, they have ♥♥♥♥ing contracts with EA, Square Enix, SEGA, Bethesda, and many more.

False advertising? Get your head out of your ♥♥♥, stupid valve fanboys.

Chill. It's not the end of the world. Some people just prefer to purchase content off of Steam which is perfectly fine. I prefer Steam. And $20 is not so bad considering that the Dragonborn DLC content is longer in game-play length than most FPS games out there. Plus there's nothing wrong with Valve. They did have a major hand in the production of Half-Life 2 afteral.

I'm as calm as ever, just because I use a few "bad" words doesn't mean I'm raging bud.

Did I ever say valve was a bad company? They made my favorite game(portal), and I am using their service at the moment, so why would I have any grudge against valve?

I just don't like valve fanboys, who only uses steams service. Fanboys are bad for the gaming industry as a whole, and has never done any good for it.

I'm lazy and want to minimize who has access to my cc card info on the net. So... I just bought from steam, rather then running off to one site, buy a key, wait for delievery, run back to steam, add key hope its not rejected. Just simpler for me to buy on steam and I dont have to give my cc info to another company.
