Women in Skyrim

I can't believe it's taken me so long to discover this game. I'm blow away. I've just begun to browse over the mods and possibilites on pc.

There's one simple thing I'd really change... Seems everywhere I go I'm obliiged to shove my greatsword though some chick. Call me old fashion, but it doesn't feel particualy heroic to take all these nameless women out so. Don't care if they're "all bad"

Is there some kind of command I can run to at least make the majority of bandits and whatnot male? Even a spell or some other creative way to get around this?

you could use console and do a sexchange, just click on the npc and then type sexchange

If it doesn't work while you're in the same cell, copy down the NPC's number, go through a door or fast travel to another cell, then put their number back in, *then* do the sexchange command, *then* go back to the NPC, which will make the cell redraw, and she will have the body of a male. I don't think the face or the voice will change, though, no matter what you do.

no they on't change in the face or vioce unless its a new npc from a new mod

Maybe there's a mod to fix it - if you use sex-change, they'll still have women's faces and voices. Trying to use the console to fix this problem really is awkward and more trouble then it's worth - you'd have to go to console, select a woman bandit, exit the console, search around quickly while trying not to get killed, find another woman bandit...and repeat until all the women bandits have male bodies, or until you get killed because you were too distracted to fight.

You could always not fight them, and let them kill you! Seriously, though - if they're trying to kill you, fight back - Think of it this way: if the Dragonborn doesn't stop them, likely these women bandits will rob and kill people who can't defend themselves, some of whom would be innocent women! So by killing these evil women, you'll be saving innocent women - saving innocent people is heroic, right!

In the end, epicbod, you have to realize that while chivalry isn't necessarily dead, it is incredibly stupid sometimes. But moreover, think about this: While you consider the men to be warriors, by avoiding combat with the women you are, in a subtle way you probably haven't realized, considering the women aren't. While you may be respecting them as women, you aren't respecting them as warriors, and that's probably the bigger slight of the two.

As far as I could tell from his original post, their being representations of women takes precedence of their role as combatants for him; he isn't disrespecting them in a combat context, but placing a higher degree of respect on the female form.

Additionally, when he called them "nameless women," he was probably referring to bandits and hostile mage-groups, who are not honorable warriors, to be contrasted with, say, Lydia or the Shield-Sisters of the Companions. The former are criminals who need to be scattered--I've come across several instances of bandits and mages with caged bodies, sometimes burned--so honoring them as combatants is probably not really an issue, as opposed to the latter, who have codes of honor, and are worthy of respect as fighters. (epicbod, I apologize in advance if I've misrepresented you in any way.)

As for mods, I think there's something called a Mercy Mod out there that gives you the opportunity to spare at least some foes, but I don't know much about it. There might be a mod somewhere that gives you a spell that turns hostiles into non-hostiles, check the Workshop here and have a look on the Skyrim Nexus, there probably exists something that suits your preference, if not a few different somethings.

there use to be a mod that turned all npc's female but don't know if there is one for all male. mine are all female because i have sexy armor and it looks better than the bulky armor on males
