How seriously do you Roleplay(RP) in this game?
I'm just curious. When you RP, do you put yourself in your character's shoes, make him rascist so he won't help someone of a certain race or at least be mean to them. Do you make them seek shelter when the weather is bad? Do you imagine more in depth conversations between you and PCs? Do you even go so far as to have them purchase and eat food when they are "hungry"? or are you the kind of people who just do quests and metagame and don't care about the characters or anything. Tell me the extent you go to RP in skyrim

I don't know if it's considered role playing, but I often find myself screaming at an NPC that just said something I didn't like.

I consider the follower (Lydia my housecarl), as part of my role. I quite often make the mistake of approaching an NPC expecting them to be friendly and have them attack and therefore have the habbit of preparing magic destruction spell beforehand. After a particularly heavy confrontation I will use healing hands on a follower. Did not know you could get them to purchase food for themselves. Often wonder why Lydia does not haul herself off to bed when I sleep. I make sure the enchanted weapons I give her are charged. Definitely would like more interaction between characters. Have refused to eliminate characters on the whim of so-called gods.

I'd say TRYING to be pretty serious but this is the first time a game actually managed to have 2 arms whats making it hilariously hard to not use the left hand since my character isn't ment to have that arm. I compemised making the TES version of this character just not have his left hand so I could cheat and use a shield ,lol.

But then I keep cheating because I like bows ....ok I confess I'm horrible at RPing him x_x

You should add some mods like Frostfall or IMP More Complex

Trying to roll-play in Skyrim is a waste of time, since most of the quests force you to act a certain way in order to complete them and essential characters means that you can't just kill a suspicious individual, even if you have an evil alignment.

That said, I'm going to do it anyway.

Soon, I'll be playing a new character (Katie, a Nord raised by Redguards,) whose village was hit by a dragon attack, so she journeyed from Hammerfell to Skyrim and was ambushed by Imperial troops on the way, mistaking her for a stormcloak rebel. She's an alchemist, a spearwoman, and every time I get into an enemy encounter, I'll play it out in my head first, using random rolls to decide the effectiveness of blows. When it comes to choices about where a quest goes, or what is done by the character on quests, and it involves doing something the developers "cough" -didn't think to let you do in-game,- I will simply write down what she does (like getting into a fight with Delphine in her basement during their first encounter,) and play from there.

However, the RPing is not in the game. It's in my mind/basically a form of Skyrim fanfiction. I wish it could be done like in Morrowind, but what are you gonna do?

Addendum: I've begun playing the game, and have already written four chapters of quest records in their entirety, using the GURPS system to determine battle outcomes. Believe it or not, the game is a lot more fun this way; maybe because it's actually possible to fail at certain things.

The actions of my character are an extension of my own personality. For example: I wouldn’t want to be an assassin in real live, so my character won’t work for the Dark Brotherhood. I don’t steal, so my character doesn't steal from friendly or neutral characters. I do however take the effort to really create a character, rather than an avatar of me.

I roleplay to an extent. After almost being beheaded in the beginning there's no way any of my characers are going to work for the imperials, I kill all imps on sight. Other stuff isn't really roleplaying but just makes sense. An example is the cellar in the hearthfire houses. I won't build a smelter/forge down there in a closed room with no windows, it just doesn't make any kind of sense.

I am a walking tank that is completely unaware of my surroundings except to destroy them.

I always sing all the dialogue, since I am a musician Elf. I have practiced to for the past 2 games in the Skyrim series, and now it is time to perfect it.

I always give my chars personalities, creatures they hate and such. And ofcourse, before I start the game I always make up a life story for them.

How many were married to musicians and then divorced them due to diminishing income?

I do to an extent. My latest character is an argonian mage. He specializes in Illusion and alteration. oh, and he's a vampire (illusion buff). So whenever I come across an enemy, I limit myself to using only illusion, alteration, and the vampire drain spell. Also when sneaking, if my follower says something, i'll turn around and tell him or her 'SHHH, they'll hear you'. My character has turned several guards from falkreath, and unsuspecting travelers, into his thralls, forcing them to guard over his home, mine, work etc. fun stuff.

I like to walk some places instead of fast traveling. There's some spectacular scenery that is easily missed otherwise.
