Destroy the Dark Brotherhood!

So I've been playing a good bit of Morrowind lately, mostly because I've been told by everyone I know - both in reality and over the interwebs - tells me it is THE BEST ELDER SCROLLS EVER!!!one.

And I have to agree to an extent. The combat was just friggin' awful and made me want to cry (thank the Eight they removed the whole miss chance thing, hit rating should remain a WoW stat, kthx) but I would have to say that my favorite part was the seperate factions and how they reacted to you, even if only to what other factions you joined, which brings me back to the title...

I loved the choice to destroy the Dark Brotherhood. Don't get me wrong, I never would in any serious sense, I love them all; Nazir, Festus, Astrid... I just loved how that was an option, but it felt a little lacking, as though it should have been an introduction into the Penitus Oculatus faction or something. So while we all wait patiently for Dragonborn to come out, what do you think?

Is there a faction you wish you could join? One you could destroy? Another storyline ending for any of them even? Do you wish you could have sided with Mercer and taken Nocturnal down a notch? Expose the Companions as the lycans they are? Or would you have sided with the commonfolk to see what those sneaky Winterhold mages really did to the city?

Well I would like to see more of the Dark Brother hood to be expanded like it was back in Morrowind and Oblivion. That and it would be a nice addition if they actually released the Morog-tang or whatever that faction was called. The Blades and their triumphant return would be a nice addition as well... QQ too many for me as is... Brain overload.

I think they should take out the achievements for PC. Because to destroy the Dark Brotherhood and if it's your first play through you void the three achievements which are, Join the Dark Brotherhood, Complete Hail Sithis and complete Bound Until Death. Annoying.

The Dark Brotherhood are just murderous thugs now compared to what they used to be. Yeah, let's be dumb and kill the Emperor so that we can all be enslaved by the Aldmeri Dominion because we weekened the Empire so much..

Morrowind is the FF7 of TES; overhyped and considered the best because for most, it's their first.

That said, Daggerfall, for all its technical limitations is the best TES game. The sheer amount of things removed from Daggerfall to Morrowind could make its own game, and a better one than Morrowind could ever hope to be.

Hey this thread is back!

Going by logic here. A lockpick that can deny reality and break basically all of its rules, and I am playing as a greedy, selfish thief. I'm not going to return that, I am going to kill Mercer laugh about it and keep it for myself. Also why did I sell my soul to her? WHY? They say it is because she will help you kill Mercer, but THEN both your fellow idiots and Nocturnal BOTH say that she will not help you until you defeat Mercer. You just got scammed SO BADLY and now when you die will spend the rest of eternity becoming a shadow without consciousness. lol sorry the end of the quest series upset me.

I do kind of wish they provided a way to destroy the Dark Brotherhood, like maybe you and several other people targeted by the Brotherhood band together. Honestly I don't like either of the two warring sides within the Dark Brotherhood

The most logical reason as to why the Dark Brotherhood keeps dying every century or so is because they are a cult, murderers often are not particularly religious, and when you are recruiting murderers its not a good idea to require that. I personally enjoyed how in Oblivion it had the best of both. You had irreligious members of the DB and fanatical members. At the end of this quest line you are basically worshipped as Sithis incarnate and any member who is not fanatically loyal to the point of worship dies.

Companions was just boring, I don't even know how they could begin to improve that besides more quests.

College of Winterhold....well, their was not a whole lot you could have done without completely breaking the lore and possibly ruining the whole world lol.
