Adoption problem

Hi, I am really struggling with adoption children with Hearthfire. It took my hours to build enough of Lakeview manor to get the children's bedroom, as so often I would build a section that wouldn't show up. Now I am there, I've tried to adopt from the Orphanage. Constance agrees that I can adopt, but then when I talk to the children I get no adoption dialogue :( Also tried to talk to a random adoptable child (Sofie) and got nothing. I have the unofficial hearthfire patch. I've tried building a dhilren's room in Breezehome.

Any ideas? I can't find help anywhere. I'm playing on PC; can I use console commands?

Question: do you still have the drafting table in the bedroom? The game won't register the bedroom as "done" until you remove it on the outside drafting table.

are you sure you have child beds?

Do you have the chest in front of the childrens bed? I had adopted a child but could not move it to that house until i had built the chest.

yes to both :) by the way constance is happy for me to adopt, she does not say i have no room.

happy to say the courier just delivered me another Consider Adoption letter, and this time (10th or 12th try!) it worked!!! yay

i cant figure out how to get constnace to agree to let me to adopt eighter :( this is gonna be hard

I hated it but eventually the courier just showed up
