Do players really want those soft beauty mods?
It suprises me how many mods there are to make some female characters look softer. They make them have ovalish faces like they're cover girls, except this is Skyrim where life is hard and the women are taller and are not soft. Also, followers who wear heavy armor are bound not to move gracefully because it's unrealistic. When Jessica Biel acted in Blade Trinity those boots were not high heels.

You have to admit, some faces are way too edgy.
Facelifting mods are okay for me, but those that add make-up and all that other stuff that makes them look like barbie dolls are unnecessary.

Many seem to judging by the download counts. I find the default faces too blocky for both male and female NPC's. So I use things that smooth the normal maps.

It's the beauty of single player, people can do what they like to make it fun for them
and so can you.

I can go for adjusting their armor because I'll be going to tougher battles. But this is Skyrim, not Italy.

I'll admit, I hate how hard it is to make an attractive female character to play, but generally I don't mind the default Skyrim characters. They're actually very attractive for what you'd expect from a women in the "Skyrim" environment. Problem is, people are so used to games with ultra-hot super chicks in bikini armor that they think anything less is ugly.

But it is pretty funny to look at the skyrim screenshots on steam, 50% of them are female body mods of one kind or another. I think "Ultra hot superstar pornstar chick" doesn't belong in skyrim. I could see having 1 or 2 ultra-hot girls, like a daughter of a Jarl or something along those lines. But the average hardened nord woman isnt going to be a drop dead model. Maybe just very fit.

So, I think Skyrim is about right.. .. and it's a major improvement over Oblivion, holy crap. Women in Oblivion look very manly.

As for Morrowind, they didn't have enough polygons pushing power to really make women "attractive" back in those days, so it doesn't count. You were lucky to get more than 10 polygons to make a boob just so you can distinguish between the 2 genders. :D

I haven't played major video games in 10 years. What the heck have I missed?

I'm not sure if the new package release on Oblivion and Morrowind updates the graphics. Does anybody here know about it? My friend keeps telling me to buy Oblivion, but I'm hooked on Skyrim right now.

BTW: that Daedric armor looks like a metallic black rose. It's like something Disney evil queen would wear if she fought Snow White in battle.

Skyrim is harsh, no doubt, but do you really like seeing women that looked like they had been beat within an inch of their life with an ugly stick? lol
One of the beautiful parts of Skyrim is the modability. If you like ugly women and men you can have them. There is beauty in that option of choice.

I don't see much improvement in the gameplay. It's purely cosmetic and it serves no real purpose to the quests.

Donno bout you, but I like pretty women.

From a realism stand point. Considering that there are DRAGONS, I think pretty women in skimpy armor is no big deal. In real life, I've seen many pretty women, but no dragons.

And also, I think you forgot that Skyrim is a game. Take a step back, don't think about it too much, and enjoy yourself.

I've already had loads of fun without playing with the aesthetics. Why can't we get new dialogue instead?

Well, start collecting money for the voice actors, then.
roninbernie 24. Dez. 2012 um 3:37 Uhr
I thought the DLC's would expand the dialogue.
