Skyrim, Region Locked - NA?

Okay i i bought Skyrim from a trusted UK site, but got a, NA version.
It makes me wonder, if this will cause problems, or if this game it pretty much WW, so NA and UK is the same, and only, maybe, German versions are different?

Can someone help me out?

I agree - reads like you have a problem. At least from Steam you know it will be compat with where you live.

Well, i don´t really have any problems, i want to know if it will be problems. What happens when it´s region locked? can´t i play it or what?

Everything should be okay with you. I live in Russia, but I bought NA Collector's Edition. Activated it on Steam just fine. No issues with buying DLCs either.

I got Skyrim long ago when it was available on Impulse and activated it on Steam also. Now Skyrim is blocked on both steam and gamestop (former impulse) in eastern europe, russia and japan. I wanted to get the dlcs but i can't access the store page ? Any ideas how to solve this ?

I don't understand - you can play Skyrim, but can't buy DLCs, or you can't even play Skyrim now?
Btw, it's not blocked in Russia. I can access the store page any time, including right now.

I think this is most likely because they couldn't get all the different languages together in one WW release on time. And the difference in boxed NA and UK versions is probably in the box itself: different systems for age rating in NA and EU, etc. I myself bought US version for 2 reasons: I wanted an Alduin statue, and I didn't know it was with Steam activation and was afraid that the original language will be unavailable for me if I buy Russian version, like it was with Morrowind. Now I can't play with Russian language, but I don't like the translations from our Russian Elder Scrolls publisher anyway.

If you can ask someone to buy those DLCs for you, or trade them for something, that would solve your problem. I have the same issue with F.E.A.R. 2 DLC Reborn. I have F.E.A.R. 2, but can't buy DLC for it on steam. If it's available in your country, I can trade you Hearthfire for it. Dawnguard is too expensive, and Reborn isn't worth it for me. If I knew about your problem a few days ago, I could trade you Dawnguard for X SuperBox. They cost approximately the same. But I already bought it myself. Actually, X SuperBox is normally more expensive than Dawnguard, but it is 50% off now, and Dawnguard is only 33% off, which makes them almost equal in price.
