How to restart Hearthfire
like many of you who have bought and downloaded Hearthfire I didnt really like the layout of the houses I built and wanted to adopt different children but didnt know how. But today I did find a way to restart it.

You start up the Skyrim Launcher and go to Data files. Uncheck Hearthfire.esm so it's unactivated. Start up Skyrim and go to your last saved file. After it loads you save the game and exit. Restart Skyrim, go to Data Files and check Hearthfire.esm so it's activated in Skyrim agian. Start up skyrim and it should have restarted.

It worked for me but I dont know how it would work for others but good luck :)

When you re-enable your mods it might be necessary to rerun LOOT/BOSS to put hearthfire back in place in the loading order.

There is more discussion about this matter here. Make sure that you read and understand what I wrote at the end of the first page.

FluffucaceXD's trick might work with just few or no mods, but otherwise you may be getting in to serious trouble.

Its really not a good idea, Dragonborn for one checks to see if Hearthfires is present. Not sure what it needs it for but you could run into problems later. Also if you're married the marriage and hearthfire adoption quests are heavily interlinked so removing hearthfires can permanently mess up the marriage quest.
