Why does Bethesda abandon us, the real fanbase of The Elder Scrolls series. For this armada of Fanboys on the consoles! ;_;
We Pc gamers are the real fans of the TES games, many of us has played this games since Arena and are now getting abandoned by Bethesda. Bethesda would rather give the console fanboys "Dragonborn" one month earlier than they will give it to us. The real fans, this is an outrage. Bethesda are abandoning us PC players. Just to satisfy little 12 years old on the freakin Xbox or the PS3.... (Sorry for my bad English but i am a Norwegian, a angry Norwegian >:( )

Settle down. Microsoft pay big bucks to gain exclusive early access to DLC to gain an edge over the competition (Sony and PSN). Money talks, and sadly the PC platform is a pretty free-range playing ground with no one distributor willing to pay for exclusives. You're not being 'abandoned', you just have to wait. Dragonborn will come to Steam in due time and you'll be able to enjoy it forever more. For now, calm your balls and enjoy another game until it arrives. :-)

For "real fans", such things do not matter.

Enjoy the many mods that ps3 and xbox dont have.

Microsoft gave them a pile of money to do so. Bethesda having piles of money means more resources for future content. Microsoft is supporting the Elder Scroll's future more than you are.

I love the contradiction in these rages. Can't see the contradiction? It is the entire post. You say you are a "REAL" gamer when most gamers abandoned PC long ago. I mean I'm a PC fan as well but I've never had a problem with games that wasn't on PC. THAT is why people use consoles, CONVEINIENCE. Not having to debug a new game because you have a slightly different PC that takes a disliking for a particular game for some reason unknown to anyone. Not having to build the thing in the first place to keep up with demand, (that is a big one). And I understand that. Then to top this off you ♥♥♥♥♥ about not having a new DLC. Did you hear the Xbox guys ♥♥♥♥♥ing when they gave Dark Souls an entire overhaul for PC? Nope they don't give a♥♥♥♥♥♥ These supposed 12 year olds lol you can't say that after posting something like this, you make yourself a hippocrite. Yes there are some idiots on the console side, there has to be, there are more of them. So either just suck it up or actually show them how its done and help them release the content faster for PC because you obviously know so much about the process.

I wouldn't call someone who left a platform with more games that you'll ever be able to play in your whole life, for an overassisted platform with rampant cheating and extreme problems ( PSNgate anyone ? ) a real gamer.
And the debug issue is a very poor excuse. I've seen games coming out on consoles so bugged that it's an insult to the player, yet you purposely skip it.

"Did you hear the Xbox guys ♥♥♥♥♥ing when they gave Dark Souls an entire overhaul for PC? Nope they don't give a ♥♥♥♥."

For Dark Souls, no. But there was indeed a bunch of♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥and moaning when Mass Effect went cross-platform. After all the 'real fans' of Mass Effect are on Xbox. Betting you'd see the similar fanboi outrage if Uncharted did the same. Outrage is fun apparently, and not exclusive to any platform. See OP.

Microsoft's misguided notion that exclusivity helps console sales more than it hurts developers isn't Bethesda's fault. Are they supposed to abandon the platform they sell the most games on so as not to hurt the feelings of a few PC gamers?

Most of us don't care I'm betting. We'll grab it when it's released.

Term 'Real Fan'... Ugh...

A "real" fan would have the intelligence to properly appreciate the series and as an extention, be smart enough to know the "PC gamers are Master race, console gamers are 12 years old kids" take is ridiculous.

The 360 gets the DLC first because Bethesda agreed on a contract with Microsoft to give the 360 a 1 month timed exclusive deal on the DLC.

By whining about platforms like this and caricaturizing other platforms as 12 year old fanboys makes you the kind of person that you are against.

My first Elder Scrolls game was Oblivion and I got it on the console. My previous experience with action RPGs was Fable. I then went on to play the earlier titles as well. I started on the consoles and I still play consoles to this day with plans to get the Wii U and next 360 some time in the future. I also have over 300 games for the PC. Why? Because these games are fun regardless of platform and only a plebian takes sides. Can't afford more than one platform? Not a problem, you aren't a moron just because you choose a favourite, only if you act as if you are better than the others.

My one issue with this situation is that we were lead to believe that the first two DLCs would be timed exclusives, and now Bethesda is totally silent about it. Just like DICE and BF3, lead platform was PC, but when they switched it to consoles, they said nothing.

To be fair, those consoles dont get the Creation Kit, or the trillion and growing mods flooding the internet that essentially immortalize this game (and the last 2). They may get Dragonborn early, but they still get the short end of the stick by far. And before you go "well mods arent made by Bethesda", they sure could have made it impossible for the community to make them, or released the game with an engine so hard to modify it isnt worth it.

A: As many have said, we get so many mods and cool features that console players don't get that to be jealous of a month discrepancy in release time seems pointless.

B: Microsoft does pay out the♥♥♥♥♥to get these exclusive deals which gives Bethesda more money which will be useful, especially if TES Online flops. So I say let them pay extra to give a good game creator more resources to give us cool stuff.

No big deal. I love having the game of the PC because I can dl many mods which make the gameplay the way I want it. My husband plays in on Xbox, sitting right next to me so I get to watch him play the new DLC for a month and get a great preview. Dragonborn looks absoluately awesome, new characters and races, completely separate land (Morrowind) , all kinds of new stuff. It will be worth the wait.

I don't mind waiting a month for a DLC after it's release for the XBox because I want to think that it gives Betesda & the Devs to time find and clean up glitches before releasing it for the PC. I have been playing games back in the days when the Bally Professional Arcade and VIC 20 rules, as well as the Atari 2600, so platforms come and goes and the PC is still around and will be around for awhile yet despite the rumors that the PC is dead, it is still the king of gaming. No matter what hand held device you buy, guess what, you usually have to connect it to a PC, so don't blame the XBox 360 folks, be happy that they get to do the DLC bug testing before we get it on the PC. What we should be getting mad about is that our favorite games and now going by way of MMO and I hate MMO. I am from the old school and like to have the disc in my hand so I can reload when my computer decide to go tango uniform on me, down loading can be a pain sometimes, plus shelling out $$$ to continue quest lines is really a slick move. Anyway, looking forward to the gripes from the XBox community addressing the bugs in the DLC or as we say glitches.

Support my♥♥♥♥♥ The console versions are the most buggy and you can't just fix them with a user created patch either. Let them have it first. It's a single player game. Not like it matters if someone else is a higher level or has done more quests than you.
