@Houseclips.. trading cards is Steams new beta for .. eh.. trading cards that are gained from games that participate in the program.. mind you it's still beta.. and very limited number of games .. once you collect a full set. you can create a "badge" of it .. or trade them off for other stuff.. in short.. it can be either an ego stroke.. or maybe a tool to score a key for some other game/dlc in the trading system.. and/or market

As for Skyrim... from my understanding.. it takes the developer to "want" to participate.. so probably best to best to go to bethesda and get them interesting as I doubt they hang much on the steam forums

I am fairly certain that the cards will come to skyrim eventually. If you look at the stats, it is still one of Steam's top 10 most played games every day even well over a year past its release date.

I can't see them refusing to do it because at worst it does nothing and at best gets them a few extra sales.

No. Something you get randomly while playing. Used to "craft badges" for your steam community profile.

I think they're working on it, as on the FAQ page near the bottom it has Skyrim, then a trading card badge that says "Hearthfire of Falkreath". So they may well be making cards atm.

i like the idea of trading cards for skyrim. i would like cards for dragons like odahviing, alduin, and paarthurnax. guilds like blades, thieves, dark brotherhood, companions could also be cards

If they do make them, I think they should be for all the races. I feel that would just be more fitting and be kind of cool for those who are actually into it. It would make people want to trade for their favorite races.

In my opinion, though, the who trading card beta is a terrible thing to begin with, so I'd rather just see the whole thing go away. I have Steam to play games, not to play Steam.
