Help with Followers please!
So apperently, I have a follower that I've NEVER seen or asked to follow me. I have mods installed to get new followers, and every time I try to get anyone to follow me and they say I already have someone following me. Is there a way that I can see who or what is already following me? I haven't talked or asked anyone to follow me previously, so I have no idea if this is just a bug in the game or what :/
If there isn't a way to see who it is, is there a way to remove them from following me?

Please help, I really don't wanna have to be forced to restart the game again :/

Thanks! ~Aythadis

How many and what mods do you have installed? Sounds like it might be a conflict or bug if you really have never asked anyone. Not sure if there is a way to see who the follower might be. Have you tried just waiting in one location for a day to let the follower find you, although they might be stuck or bugged some where. Probably use the console to reset the follower count.

I have about 40 ish mods, but most of it is just graphical addons, and a few weapons. Nothing to do with followers so far.
I've tried waiting, going back to my home, and nothing, still says I have someone following and can't see them.
What would be the console imput to reset the follower count?

I was able to load a save and dismiss my followers with the console command: set playerfollowercount to 0

Give it a try and see if it works.

Are you sure it's not Lydia?

No, she's sitting at my house in Whiterun. When I ask her to follow me, she says someone is already following me.

You probably picked up an quest escort along the way somewhere and left them at their respective dungeon/fort. Happens alot when you're doing the gopher quests for the Companions.

I only have 2 quests... Main story quest and just the few 'Check out this temple or ruins' stuff. Nothing that involved anyone to follow me or escort. oh well it's fixed and I can get followers again.
