Has anyone elses game crashed?

have you installed a new mod? If you have, try turning it off and see if skyrim will open.

Oh, try checking your stuff with Wyre Bash. It usually detects conflicting mods which lead to crash on start-up.

Any new one you have installed recently. If you have installed a bunch all at once, I would recommend turning them all off and reactivating them one by one until you crash again. The last one you turn on will be the one causing the crash. Other wise you could download the program Chaana recommended, I personally haven't used though and my way does take longer.

I unselected all mods, and my game is still crashing. Any ideas?

edit: After it crashes, it shows that it's down loading or updating.

You need to verify your files. Right click skyrim in steam and select properties then find the verifiy files and run it. Let it install it's 1 or 7 files that are missing. It might work it might not. I had to erase everything and reintall and then verify afterwards to get it working again.
