Legendary Edition?
Is steam going to release the legendary collection of skyrim when it comes out on steam, would rather buy it on here than on disc :)

You can already buy it by buying all the DLC's it is only going to include the same patch that is on the game now.

The only reason to buy the Legendary Edition is to have the disks or play on another Computer with a new steam account.

If you want the CD's it is a good idea to buy the game from Amazon or someplace. Someone else in the family could discover the game and not bother your game by accident on another computer.

I am sure the legendary edition will require Steam also. So if you have all the DLC's you already have the legendary edition. I am sure Steam will be offering it but you will come out cheaper if you already own the game by adding the DLC's.

What I want to know is, how much will all the DLC cost if I already own the game? I know that right now the DLC is like $55, and I want to play this already, so if I buy the base game now for $30, will all the DLC be bundled for just $30 when legendary comes out?

That is true if you do not own the DLC you might come out cheaper. And you will have the Disks in case something happens to your steam account. If that is the case it might be a good idea.

I was thinking of buying the legendary edition just because I love the game and could play it on another computer easily.

If you own the game, you will not have to download it. If you click on your account (upper right hand corner) then account detail, your disc will be showing up as Retail, just like mine. Any dlc will show up as Steam store under Aquisition Method.

I doubt there will be a DLC bundle, you will just have to buy each DLC individually.
Also, the DLC will be $45 [$20 for Dawnguard/Dragonborn, $5 for Hearthfire].

If you have Dawnguard it would be $25 for example though. The legendary offers nothing but the disks but they may come in handy one day depending on the future of valve. I guess I am still old school and like to own the disks.

I found this response from the staff on the Bethesda blog in response to someone asking if the Legendary would be on Steam: "Yes, but if you already have Skyrim on Steam, it will only add the content that you don’t already have. You wouldn’t have both Skyrim and Skyrim Legendary in your library. This is a change from how we handled Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas." So yes.

Does somebody think that Steam wil do a huge skyrim sale plus DLC? I orderd the GOTY edition from skyrim for 27.49 and i realy am not in the mood if i pay much more then needed.

If there is a sale, I can guarantee the individual price will not be cheaper than the GOTY price; as that would defeat the entire purpose of having the Legendary version.

I talked to Bethasda Customer support and they told me if I had alread bought the dlc's from steam there is no need to buy the legendary edition. So if you only need a DlC like Hearthfire buy it from Steam. You will save money. On many games you can save money just by buying the game from steam.

If you want the Disks wait a while the price will be coming down.
