Who else is cooking better in real life thanks to Skyrim?
Ever since Hearthfire and the ability to use ovens, I've been thinking of more rustic foods to make at home. Sure, I get to fight dragons. But what I REALLY wanna do is make lavender dumplings. Thing that's bothering me, though, is I'm having trouble thinking of what the Earth equivalent of a snowberry would be? Cranberry, raspberry, red looking blueberries? I mean, they look like holly berries but those are poisonous.

Snowberries sound fine. My daughter decided to become Vegan so that REALLY complicates things. No beef, no pork, no lamb, no butter, no milk, no cheese,... I need help.

lol good thing im a carnivore
No butter, milk or cheese? Man, that's serious. I can honestly say I know way too little about cooking without those.
I can make a pizza with my phone.

Eat your daughter.
In my Skyrim cooking recipes, included are dogmeat stew, equine stew and pickled ash hopper leg..Not to sure I want to sample any of these any time soon.Urghh.But they would probably taste quite nice with lavender dumplings. :)
Haha, add some garlic to that dogmeat stew and you've got a winner.

My lord, I never understand why people become vegans... Oh well, if you want to get her out of it, just tell her the fun fact that vegans live significantly shorter lives compared to non-vegans.

Vegans get the same amount of nutrients as non-vegans, depending on whether or not they know what they're eating and what they actually need.

0And Master Zone, the number 1 cause of death in America is cardiovascular disease which is often due to obesity and you know those obese people aren't vegans. The article is written by a journalist, not a registered dietitian. It sounds contradicting since I'm just a random person on steam forums, but I'm going by what I've learned from an R.D., nutrition course I took at my university, which is linked to credible sources.

When I say Vegans are not healthy, I am not just going by that small article. Also, vegans do have to take supplements. The fact they have to take pill shows the diet is not good enough, so you don't need a university course to know that.
It's not about my educational background, it's about having words connected to a credible source instead of me going "i googled it so it must be true." There are more cons from eating animal products than plant products. We're just born stuffing our faces with whatever we're given and the fact that we have supplements is more reason to go vegan because it's a far cleaner and healthier way to go. Just about everything else we eat is processed, so being anti-supplement is contradicting.

I don't eat processed foods anyway, I stay away from that crud.

I'm not anti-supplement, I am just anti basing a whole diet around pills.

We, as humans, are deficient in more nutrients from plant products than animal products. If healthy choices were more available to me, I'd probably be a vegetarian or vegan, but I'm in MERICA. So pass me the corn syrup.
I too fail to understand why anyone would become vegan. I mean, they say "it's healthier" but it really isn't. "I'm helping the planet/saving animals/doing the right thing," but that's also a delusional ideal. Plants have lives too, technically. I mean, if you want all your protein to come from soy or beans, by all means, but if you have to work that much harder to stay as healthy as people who eat meat, it's not "right" or better. Even vegetarians will imbibe milk and some will eat fish. Can't imagine a world without eggs, personally.
there are lots of cooking mods on steam and the nexus that may help you!
