What's been the spookiest/creepiest encounter in Skyrim?
Ok I am not someone who is easily creeped out I have watched every Horror movie from House on Haunted hill and 13 Ghosts to Ghost ship and a Haunting, but there are some dungeon crawls that have left me spooked out in Skyrim, the first being Bleak Falls barrow dead things moving around and attacking you Gah! tell us about what your most scary encounter's and places are, after all there are things that go bump in the night!!

If you're still too low level to take on more than one falmer at a time without potions then the quest to retrieve the Crown of Barenziah.

AAAHHH, GHOST SHIP! Yes, it's very good. It's so good, I refuse to watch it again.

That first scene ..... GAH!

That being said, I find all the crypts spooky/creepy. It's all the damn embalming tools and linen wrap lying about. There's just something about that funerary stuff ...

During my time in Riverwood the other day, I entered The Sleeping Giant Inn, as you usually do when you go to Riverwood, passing Frodnar and Stump on my way in. So with no quests in mind and nothing really going on, I mess about whilst I'm there, I buy a drink for Embry and applaud the music being played by Sven, and I also found out how to make my own character clap using console commands.

Due to my dislike of the hagraven known as Delphine, I decided to constantly interrupt her alchemy by clapping behind her until she left to sweep the floors with her broom, which I then interrupted by clapping in her face multiple times until she stood in a corner and theoretically cried, angrily grinning as I continued to clap in her face, my character showing no emotion for what she was doing and making the whole situation even more hilarious.

But now for the creepy part... when I had enough fun and decided to go outside, a flash of something dark and grey flew down from the roof of the inn, and then I suddenly hear a dog's death sound... when I look to the left of the stairs to the inn, I see Stump lying dead on the ground, among Frodnar staring at me from where he was originally sitting... his soulless eyes attempting to create fear and panic amongst me and my character, showing no emotion as he just continued to stare at me...

After that, I just legged it straight out of Riverwood, but I will never look at Frodnar the same way again. Oh, and sorry for building the Great Wall of China in this comment, lol.

That is weird.

There's psycho dog-killers in this game. Just how sophisticated is the AI, really? O.o

so far the creepiest for me is the Dwemer Ruin outside of Dushkin Yal when you go in your confronted by tremors and a female voice that tells you to go back before it's too late and then you begin the Lost Treasure Quest the whole trip through the ruins is spooky between the quakes and the voices and falmer and the erie music adds to it!

The Dwemer ruins in general create rather creepy environments. The empty, sorrowful halls and corridors, the huffing and puffing of the ancient machines, the Falmer that dwell inside.. Yes, in the end it's the sadness of the place that makes it creepy for me, which is mostly because of my high Sneak skill: I am rarely ambushed by the actual inhabitants.

Seekers. Befitting their name, they always know exactly where you are even if you are "undected." They just stand there... gazing at you... making that noise...

Cicero is the creepiest thing in Skyrim. Maybe not scary, but very, very creepy.

Take in mind that my brightness is at its lowest. I was walking on the road from Whiterun at night. I pulled out my torch and saw the same bard that I constantly end up seeing on my travels, so I made him sing for me then walked away. As I was nearing an old ruined tower I began to feel like something was stalking me, so I turned around, there was nothing. I kept going for a few minutes then I turned again. A Sabertooth right up in my face the second I turned around.

Ok, this just happened. I was leaving the mage college, and tried to fast travel somewhere. I get the message "You can't fast travel when enemies are nearby". Hm. Everything seemed pretty quiet ... until the elder dragon landed on my head without a sound.
