the elder scrolls are everything, everywhere, in every time. so, that's that.

Get all the die hard LOTR-ers and the die hard Elder scroll-ers and put hem in a pit with eachother then shout 'WHICH IS BETTER' and run. Comeback a few days later to see who is still alive and proclaim that last surviver the winner.

*If there is more than one surviver then play Russian roulette with them.

**For a food source leave a 2 types of Branded crisps in there with them. One being LOTR crisps and othe other Elder scroll crisps but have them unequal amounts so that the LOTR die hards have to eat Elder scroll crisps or vise versa.

LOTR has so much better screenplay...but TES achieves more in way of Fantasy...I didn't play much of the console lotr, cos it was crap. But If there was a lotr like Skyrim on PC, then we would have a MUCH better contest....

Fighting in the pit idea is my fave so far LOL

I only ever watched the LOTR Movies but it's definately TES all the way for a game, I love the scenery it is so breathtaking and it makes you wonder what it would be like to live in a world like this, but also in a way Skyrim is REAL! I find the music to be more immersive as well and the story is engaging as is the overall plot

May have disagreed with ya in the past, but I agree with this....I've even said to a friend 'I wish I could leave this dump of a place to live in Skyrim. If there was a way I'd be gone in a heart beat'

if u think about it most of the characters an middle earth are more powerful example souron,gandalf,morgoth,the army of the dead,the nazgul,galadriel,the balrog and the dragons in middle earth are way bigger and more deadly than the ones we see in the elder scrolls

But Smaug was about the last dragon in Middle Earth, and the dwarves kill him for being a thieving bug.

And Middle Earth races are still just only humans, or mutants of humans. *Yawn* Funny ears or lack of height do not an interesting species make.
