Your favorite mods?
I've just finished nearly all the quests in Skyrim, save Thieves Guild quests... Looking for advice on high quality mods to enhance gameplay. What are your favorite, most essential mods?

If you aren't already using Nexus Mods then you should start. Get the mod manager too. That will give you access to way more great mods than Steam offers. Mods to look for:

I started making a list, but realized this was easier/better. The best mods on that list are probably SkyUI (a must have), #2 and #3 on the list, the official patch, enhanced blood, cloaks, and so on. Look through the lists and I guarantee you will find things you have always wanted from Skyrim. The best mod for role-playing/new gameplay is the alternate start mod. Have fun!

PS: The best female bodies mod is from Caliente, specifically the Big Bottom Edition. Trust me.

having played skyrim for dozens of times, skyrim redone adds some fresh air to it. it just alters the perk trees and some stuff to work with the alterations to make it all have much more sense. and it also happened to incorporate a sneak mod i love with rope arrows and fire arrows and stuff..

and if you like the dark brotherhood, here's a nice mod for you:

i love it.

Thanks! Although, especially if you have played through the quests a lot, the best way to get into the game anew is role-playing (and finding corresponding mods to fit your character). Read/watch Game of Thrones, read some graphic novels from the "Northlanders" series, or even use LotR. Basically any visual/written media based in a similar universe. It can be a blast.

If you are into realism/roleplaying type mods, I'd highly suggest Frostfall. I've had a ton of fun with it so far, setting up camps in awesome locations. On the combat side of things, I would suggest TK Dodge and Duel - Combat Realism. Both have made the combat a lot more fun for me, especially TK Dodge since I am playing a character who doesn't use a shield. For quests, you should check out Moonpath to Elsweyr and Sea of Ghosts, both fairly substantial, voiced quests that add new locations.

Have and love Frostfall, especially great when coupled with Cloaks of Skyrim and Bandoliers - Bags and Pouches in my opinion. The others are all new to me though, I look forward to trying them!

Yeah, cloaks of Skyrim is really cool.

SkyUI.

The best part of that mod is the hidden, unique cloaks. My favorite unique one is probably Hunter's Folly, mostly for it's background/implications.

Haha SkyUI is practically implied. The Vanilla UI is just so terrible.

Sneak Tools is also pretty great

SkyRe (Skyrim Redone) pretty much overhauls the entire game (in a good way) and fixes almost every imaginable problem.

I'm checking this out and it seems great. It really helps overcome the clunky melee combat system in Skyrim.
