Help with SKSE and SKYUI mods
Can anyone help me? I installed SKYUI and SKSE but when i go to run Skyrim through the skse_loader thing it says that SKSE is not detected and SKYUI will not work. I set the launcher to run as administrator and that didn't help so now I'm stuck and don't know what to do!

Are you certain you placed the SKSE files in the correct location? They go in your main Skyrim directory, not in the Data folder.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim

not Data folder.

So i looked back and no, i didn't put the stuff in the data folder. In game it turns out that is actually has the new UI so i don't know why the message comes up, and ideas?

Have you enabled the SKSE plugin? Unless you do so, SKSE will not run. Besides, what is your load order?

How would I enable it? I don't belive it is in the data files list so i can't do anything there. And how does one check their load order?

The easiest way to check your load order is to use a mod managing tool, such as Nexus Mod Manager. These tools allow you to install, uninstall, enable, and disable modifications, as well as sort and change the load order. You can also enable the SKSE plugin with such a managing tool. In order to get a loose load order, you should use BOSS, which automatically sorts your modifications according to a constantly updated masterlist. Many modifications are recognized, although you might (and should) still check and possibly change some things manually.

You don't enable or activate SKSE, just ignore that post.

The easiest way to check your load-order, is to simply click the Data Files button, which displays the load-order. There absolutely zero reason to install another potentially problematic 3rd-party problem that will only make your situation more complicated to fix.

Of course you enable it. First of all, you need to copy the files into the Skyrim directory, and second, the latest version also requires you to use SKSE's own launcher.
NMM also allows you to disable SKSE. To be sure, in order to check the load order, you can just take a look at the plugins.txt file.

Besides, NMM is not a problematic program.
