Lock ups on screen? Anyone else?

I get random lockups on screen...
I've tried low, med, and high settings, and still getting them. Nothing seems to cure it.
I check file integrity after each lock up and there is always one file that needs re-aquiring.. is anyone else getting the same problem?

I have found that after lock ups, and a return to the main Steam game panel, there is always a 'Steam update' advert box, plus the game has started syncing.. anyone know why this happens?... coincidence?

There is nearly always one file that needs reacquiring when you verify your files. Most people just ignore it. I hate it when Steam updates when you are playing, it always causes a problem as far as I am concerned! Have you checked the load order of your game data files, DLC's and mods if you have them?
Should be:-
Skyrim.esm
Update
Dawnguard
Hearthfire
Dragonborn
Texture mods
Other mods.
Any data file with extension of .esm should be before all mods .esp
Skyrim.esm and Update apparently do not always show up in the data files but they are there just hidden. Good Luck.

Edit. Should have mentioned that if you do have mods you read the authors blurb to make sure they do not need a file you have not got loaded.

When I check the data files I do not see the Skyrim.esm or the Update esm... I don't use mods yet, but have the Hearthfire and texture downloads... they are in the correct order.
My screen lockup always happens in game, not on startup, it launches fine.
Not sure what the fix is..

mine lock up too for up too a min and i tryed everything i could think of i even took out my mods still the same and this happens every 5 mins

It's not every 5 mins for me... I can play for 30 mins or so before it happens, but have noticed its more frequent when I open up the world map.
