Hey Steam... When-abouts you gonna put Skyrim Legendary Edition up for Pre-Order. I'd like to go ahead and buy a copy before this tax money burns a hole in my pocket. =P

Marking the base game down $10 today is a mean trick! I'm not falling for it. hehe

If so, you can buy it now; just buy everything individually.

I think he means something similar to GOTY edition where everything is bundled together for a savings rather than buying seperately.

That's how much the DLC alone costs. Not to mention that the Legendary edition will most likely be a repack of the whole thing. You'll be getting the latest edition of Skyrim straight from install. Buying the base game now will get you an old version and then a patch, patch patch...

We'd be much better off waiting for the Legendary Edition.

Well, I personally do not think there will be a patch for the Legendary version, as many of us already own Skyrim + the 3 DLCs [what's to patch?; we pretty much have a final version of the game].
Although, hopefully Bethesda does find some bugs to fix for the release of the Legendary version, that would be pretty cool.

As for price, I know Gamestop/Impulse had Skyrim on sale last week for 50% off [Skyrim = $20, Dawnguard = $10, Dragonborn = $10, Hearthfire = $2.50; That's $42.50 total]; so unless the Legendary version offers extras goodies [maybe artbook etc...], I would also look for any sales on Skyrim.

Keep us posted with whatever you decide to buy.

Not sure where you are coming up with Legendary edition being $44.99, the suggested price I read for it(and a quick check on some sites) is $59.99. You may be able to find it cheaper than that at some places, but I doubt Steam would go much under that if at all, at least to start.

Your main point still stands though, even $59.99 would be cheaper than buying everything seperate, even including the $10 discount Steam just made to the main game.

Been waiting for a sale myself so I can get it for my new PC. I made the big mistake of getting it for PS3 back when the game first came out.

What I've been reading is $44.99 for PC and $59.99 for the consoles.

PS - I still think the Legendary Edition will install the 1.9.38'whatever version straight from the get go... The base game installs the 18 month old original release and then patches the crap out of it. In the end it probably makes no difference, but to me... It's worth the wait. I just wish they would put up a pre-order.
