♥♥♥♥ING NEXUS!!!!
Ok, i wanted to uninstall a couple of skyrim mods that i dont need and when i open up the nexus mod manager and it asks if i want to update, so i say yes and it remains frozen halfway, so i close it and open it up again, this time i press cancel, to then the button i clicked says canceling but it does the same DAMN THING and just sits there halfway. normally i dont mind updates but if it's keeping me from using the manager then thats just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
i refuse atm to do anything as much as completely reinstall the mod manager so is there any way i can fix the problem or even stop the manager from attempting an update? i would appreciate it if so.

Did you download the correct one for your comp?

I.e. WIN XP(32bit) or WIN7 (64bit)? Basic question, I know, but if we can trouobleshoot, and make some progress on getting you calmed down a bit, then the sooner you can get relaxed and have happy positive solution time yes? :D

So..... you'll troubleshoot the NMM but you refuse to reinstall it?

Reinstallation would be my first suggestion.

Yeah, whenever that thing asks me if I wanna update I say no. Only once every month or two will I go ahead and update.

I wish they would save up some of their changes and update the program less often.

nevermind, for some reason it finally let me cancel updating
yeah im not gonna be attempting to actually update it for a while but thanks anyways.

I recently updated. There are certain bug fixes in there that you will really benefit from. It is really worth doing as often as they arise. Especially seeing as they are to do with your mods etc.

I was going to suggest re downloading it, that is an option. But I do recommend you go for the updates... Don't forget, it is still being polished..and in it's BETA so, I would try to maintain it as best you can..

NMM is a bloatware. Don't use it. Get Wrye Bash instead.
Alkpaz May 7, 2013 @ 11:54pm
Important: Wrye Bash's developers have been MIA for the last few months due to various real life circumstances. As such, development has slowed to a crawl with only a few modders that don't have much experience with Python (in which Bash is written) trying to fix existing bugs.

v303 is the product of these attempted bug fixes on top of what was done before the developers went MIA. As such, it is not a polished release.

Redownload NMM. I had that happen and just did this and it worked.

It sucks when you first have it happen, then after all the annoyance your thinking "gosh, why in Oblivion didn't I do that in the first place??"

will i have to reinstall all my mods if i reinstall nmm?

I like how you posted this here because posting it on the nexus forums would have gotten you banned.

I found it easy as hell to mod skyrim without the use of programs like Nexus...safer as well.
