Fellglow Keep Problems

Hitting The Books takes you to Fellglow Keep. This problem seems to be new in the Steam PC version of the game. The path to the stairs that leads to the door to the Caller, and the books, is blocked. I used Creation Kit to remove the stones and went up the stairs to find the door was missing. Now that door is in Skyrim so one of my mods is deleting it. I used Creation Kit to put in the correct door and the rest worked fine until I tried to use the quick exit from the Caller. Going through that door put me into empty space far above where I was supposed to be. Hovever, falling through the architecture I landed ok and was able to finish the quest. The first glitch is in vanilla Skyrim. The rest are in an unknown mod.

Are you talking about the Cellar not the Caller. I think you have created more glitches than you realise and are now blaming it on the vanilla version.

I know this doesn't really address your problems, but FYI...

The Steam version of Skyrim is the only version available for PC. Even if you go to a store and buy a physical copy on Disc, it links with your Steam account. Buy it on Gamestop's website... It links with your steam account, etc etc.

The whole discussion set up indicates a complete disregard to the way the game is set up. If there are stones blocking the way then you are supposed to find another way around the problem that does not include using console commands or "The creations kit?" to solve it.

I agree with Jargon. Have played through Fellglow Keep several times and never encountered any glitches. Impatience and attempts to solve non glitched quests can totally ruin this game.

Necro'ing this thread, hav the same problems, CoC Fellglowkeep03 sorts it out, but just posting, Does the OP have wyrmstooth by any chance, I have a feeling it's linked to that mod

wandered all over the keep, dungeons and otherwise. finally noclipped to the questpoint, and entered the chamber. the exit from the chamber go to skyrim and to the stairs down, which is blocked by a bunch of rocks. wandering all over the other corridor, I could find no way back to the original. so yeah. definately some ♥♥♥♥ going on, there. And I do remember doing this quest before with no problem, so....mods it is. or possibly one of the DLC's? friend of mine finds that several of them does not play well with the others. whoever heard of a game where you could not play with all expansions without everything breaking down? it's insane.

I've been through that keep and even managed to get lost in it .. but I didn't have any problems and found my way around.
That's where I have problems with people who mod. There seems to be no defacto set of "rules" to follow. If people are going to make mods (making them available for others to download and play), they really need to know what they're doing and in such a way that their mod is compatable with the others so it won't cause any problems.
But, what do I know. (Never mind that I've modded other games before)

Having this same issue. Get to Fellglow Keep and there are rocks blocking two doors. I doubt this has to do with mods, possibly has to do with one of the expansions. I saw the same thing on the Skyrim Wikia under the 'talk' section for this quest.

I am having this same problem ... not only at fellglow but also wolfskull cave, the hole you jump down is covered in iced over stone. I have no Idea how to fix it .. have uninstalled ... deleted everything and reinstalled... I had played these quests several times prior and no problems ... my fellglow has dead space before you get to the door that is blocked with boulders.

Just type: "coc fellglowkeep03" in the console and it should take you to the room of the caller. To leave, kill the caller get the key, open the door, enter the trapdoor and you should fall into another part of the dungon.

jogon, does it ever occur to you that it might actually be a glitch, i've gone through this quest a few times on the x-box and pc and it is a glitch not me failing to look properly, so stop shooting your mouth of you numpty...

your comment didn't really change what i said, it is a glitch, just because your lucky enough that it works on your game doesn't mean it does on other peoples, so just saying we're not looking properly is a bit irritating, your just a schwebble who likes being shoulder deep in himself... and i hope you fall down some stairs while your doing it... it would be extremely satisfying for me and anyone else who was unfortunate to encounter your shoddy excuse for a person. good day to you.

I ended up haivng to use tcl, I was able to get though the rubble, however the last room is missing from the game.

I've had this problem with steam downloaded Skyrim too. It is mod independent and has occurred on two different computers at this point. When I get to that quest, I just have to deal and tcl to get through the rocks then use coc to get to the caller.
