multiple folowers mod not working with dragonborn?

Ive got the UFO (ultimite followers overhaul) mod and ive tried otheres but it wont let me recruit
extra followers in solsthiem. Anybody know why?

Couln't see anything that said he had completed the Dragonborn upgrade, assuming that you are using the Nexus mod. That was dated April, I beleive.

must be why then but i am using the steam version
