Similar games?
I love this game! Can anyone recommend some games like it?

Here's a list of some I own:

Oblivion
Morrowind
Dragon Age: Origins
Risen

I'm not finished playing any of the above, although I've played Oblivion for 269 hours, according to Steam. Had to reinstall DAO due to my extra content not showing up. I started Skyrim and haven't looked back. :-) I prefer the snowy realm of Skyrim to the dark Oblivion planes.

I'm downloading the demo for Might & Magic Heroes VI. Normally I don't care for turn-based RPGs, but the videos and screenshots look fantastic! Any thoughts on it?

Tried demoing Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, but it never launched. :-/

Thanks in advance. Happy gaming!

From the games that you say that you have I want to say you're more into Western RPG's than JRPG's or Eastern RPG's. As KjNightmarez posted, The Witcher 2 is a really good game, though it's pretty demanding (if that's a concern for you). Kingdoms of Amalur is also pretty damn good, as I really like the really action-y RPG's myself. Also Dark Souls is really good, though very challenging. A very under-rated game that doesn't get a lot of attention that I personally like is Two Worlds II. It's a little rough and it isn't a AAA title like the other games, but it does good at what it does and it's pretty good for a low budget game.

Hope that gives you a little more insight =) I'm a fan of the Elder Scrolls and Dragon Age myself!

Thank you for the suggestions. There's always a possibility that older games won't run on my Windows 7 laptop so I tend to look for newer titles. They don't need to be AAA titles for me to enjoy them, though.

By "demanding", do you mean that there are no difficulty settings to choose from and/or that the combat is tough? I don't mind a challenge, but if the battles are excessively hard to progress through, I get aggravated. I find it more fun to explore the game world and follow questlines, leveling up at my own pace.

In Skyrim, I didn't even start the Thieves Guild quests until I was level 40 or higher because I was exploring the map at my leisure. So much fun!

Your welcome dude, and I have a Toshiba laptop with Windows 7, 12 GB of Ram, 2 750 GB 7200 RPM Harddrives, and a NVidia GTX 670M, and I'm able to play older titles just fine, and since you have Windows 7 you'll be just fine too =)

For the Witcher 2 the game is pretty challenging, though you can change the difficulty. I would recommend playing the tutorial since it teaches you a lot of little tricks, but by demanding I mean CPU and GPU wise. If you don't have a decent GPU you're gonna struggle trying to play the game at a good decent FPS.

Dark Souls on the other hand...yeah it will aggrivate you, since a lot of the enemies and bosses use very cheap attacks and tactics.

Two Worlds II has a really good world to get lost and explore if you're really into that! It has two major islands and a small-to-medium sized to explore and I barely covered the first island! Lol

And all of the games I mentioned I own them and played them, along with the first 3 Elder Scrolls and both Dragon Age games (DA II on my 360 when I had it haha). So I'm speaking with my own personal experiences as I'm a huge fan of RPG's, both Western and Eastern as well as AAA and small development team =)

Try the Kingodm of Amalur demo. It's not as open world as Skyrim, but it has a cool story and fun combat.

You do get Dungeon Siege 1 and 2 (without Expansion) on Steam if you purchase the Dungeon Siege 3 Collection.

The Witcher 2 is very different from Skyrim. It's hard to say any games other than TES or FO3/FO:NV is similar to Skyrim. Do you like a game exactly like Skyrim or do you just like RPG in general?

One of the most underrated RPGs out there [metascore in the 80s].

Personally, I am really more into Western RPG's but Dvinity and Fallout have been nice to play when I need a break!

I can't remember the name but I think it's called Dark Souls or something like that, prety much a darker version of Skyrim..much darker, almost 'console' looking too...like it was for the PS3 or something.
