Is Skyrim addicting?
I'm thinking about getting Skyrim, but I'm scared that I will get addicted to it. I finally escaped addtiction from MMORPG games few years ago and don't want that to happen again. I can't really afford another addiction, because I have a lot of school work. Will Skyrim suck me in?

Yes skyrim is very addicting i hav played about 200 hours on my xbox so watch out.
Ohh thats got to be one of the greatest question ever. Funny as hell. Umm Yes it is to put it lightly.
YESSSS IT ISS SUPERLY DUPERLY ADDICTING! I HAVE PLAYED ON MY LIFE TIME ABOUT 100 HRS!
yes it is extremely addicting ive put in almost 300 hours!
Yeah me 2. Coming up on 1000 hours.
560 hrs and Im only on my second playthrugh and the add on games are just giting started on.
Its like Crack.
It can definitely suck you in, especially when you start playing it for the very first time.

Overall though I guess it depends on what you find enjoyable. If you're a gamer who likes to explore every inch of a gameworld then you're going to dump some major time into Skyrim.
well, it's a good game, even when you finish all prescripted quests, NPCs will generate new quests every time you ask them, that works for every faction, addicting ? considering you can save your progress and continue from were you left, as long as you set priorities in your life, it's not addicting, that's up to you to decide, what I can tell is, it's money well spent
Since I got into Oblivian, and then Skyrim, I must admit that in the morning, I think, 'now what crap have I got to do before I can start gaming'. Let's face it what's more exciting; urban living or being a nordic adventurer?(enjoying Sniper V2 as well!) In the future, I believe we'll just plug our minds in, a bit like Avatar(the film).
983 hours...
It can be addicting if you don't set your priorties first. Give yourself the gift of playing when you have all your work done. Between the xbox, ps3, and the pc I've probably have between 1500 and 2000 hours into this game. I've just created my sixth character and am literally walking through Skyrim.
If you have problems to get away from MMORPG you shouldn't buy Skyrim, because it's very similar to any MMORPG (just offline).
As mentioned in the posts above: get clear about your priorities before buying.
I mainlined some skyrim just a little while ago. Waiting for my fix to wear off....but seriosuly,

If you have gaming addictions, pick up another hobby like golf, fishing or hiking. If you are under the care of a doctor or have seen one about this addiction; contact him/her and ask their opinion. You might have some underlying issues that you need to deal with. Any hobby is not bad. If it interferes with reality, you have a problem.
Any type of sport or activity outside will be helpful
