Skyrim Stuttering every few seconds of movement, not when standing still?
I have a gtx 660 ti with an fx 6100(possible culprit), this happens on ssd and hdd with 16gb ram, my cpu is clocked at 4ghz and stutters less with it than at stock!
it is reduced by still occurs even on lowest possible settings please help!!! running windows 7 64bit, i had this issue with bioshock infinitie though i blame the game but all other games run fine including hitman absolution :O

I've been dealing with the same problem since the 1.9 update. I've tried EVERYTHING to solve this and can't seem to correct it. I adjusting mouse acceleration, V-Sync, all graphic options, tried windowed mode; I used Alien Respawn to undo any new drivers that downloaded recently, full reinstall of Skyrim, and nothing has fixed it. I only use a few character MODS; CBBE and some armor variations. I did notice that the stutter got better after I deleted an old wood stump MOD that fixed the blue wood stumps that appeared in places like Riften. I believe the 1.9 update corrected that and it was no longer necessary. But, still the minor stuttering and graphics skips keep happening along with small drops in FPS.

My PC is a two month old Alienware with six-core processor, 32 GB RAM, and two GeForce 680 GTX in SLi, so it's not a performance issue. With V-Sync turned off I'm getting ridiculous FPS, often in the thousands. Full detail on all graphic options barely makes my system break a sweat. The only thing I can think of at this point is that it must be a programming glitch in the new 1.9 update. Between my old PC and my new PC I have over 300 hours played on Skyrim and this only started happening after the update a few weeks ago.

try force max fps to 60 or the hz of your monitor. if much faster it creates stutter in skyrum game

Running a 2yr old 6core AMD with twin 5770 Radeons, I found that I had stuff running in the background that was causing slow frame rates, but also running 32bit Win7 (have to situation), so even though the system has 16Gig DDR3 Windows is only using 3gigs of it so if I was running anti-virus, and a couple of browser windows that were constantly updating (like foxnews.com or something like DSClock) i would get stutters in the game. So before I fire up the game I go through the task manager and shut down the stupid stuff like realsched and DivXupdate and found that this helped a bunch.

I worked it out!, i think its my CPU. I reset my skyrim prefs ini, set the game to default ultra and the stuttering was reduced to it being playable, type toggle borders in the skyrim console and every time you cross a line your fps should dip and stutter, reduce view distances ect, im not sure what part of harware causes this but im almost certain its my cpu since its been a major bottleneck all the time due to poor per core perfromance, i will update this thread when i buy an i5 3570k and motherboard :)

I just tried the Stutter Fix MOD from Skyrim Nexus and it did seem to help out quite a bit. You can adjust the ANITLAG file by opening it up in NotePad, but after experimenting, the base values seem best. It's not 100% perfect, but good enough so that I at least can focus on the game vs the annoying skipping.

The only problem i have with this is that i use enb and sweet fx together and im not sure if i can set enb to use more than one extra d3d file but i will try this, thanks for posting

Hope they fix this for Skyrim 2.0!

After some time, the Stutter MOD doesn't really seem to do much. I tried Skyrim on my older PC and my laptop and the exact same stutter happens once Steam and Skyrim install updates from the past few months. Oh well. I guess just how it is now...
