SKSE: skytim not up to date.
i am running skyrim version 1.9.32.0.8 and SKSE 1.6.6. I have installed it correctly, following the video provided by the site, and am using the launcher as instructed by the video. Everytime i try to launch it i get an error saying skyrim not up to date, and to delete a runtime file on SKSE .ini which i can not find.

Erm.. SKSE 1.6.6 is really old. You need to update to 1.6.13 - which was actually make for Skyrim 1.9.

What does the error say exactly? Does it look like this?

the first error says please update to current version of skyrim, then when i click ok it comes up with a new error that says you have customized the runtime via SKSE's . ini file. Then it says this can be fixed by removing the runtimename from the .ini file

Make sure that you have removed the old SKSE files.

I lieterally started on a fresh skyrim file.

Do you have a SKSE.ini file into your Data\SKSE folder? If so, delete it.

tried that, got application load error 6:0000065432, don't know if this helps you figure it out.

SKSE Tester has not been updated to recognize 1.6.13.When you unzip newest SKSE it becomes 1.9.32 in the Skyrim game file for me. Ive tried several times and in my saved pictures, you will see the SKSE Tester error I get in each case when I go ingame. I posted the error in SKSE Tester to the source of the people and did get a reply. I dont know if the author is working on it, but Ive tried everything. I use MOD Organizer and even tried install that way and still not working without the error messages ingame. I will try the SKSE.ini removal tonight.

? Whatever that is, that's a Steam error, not a SKSE one. You sure your game is actually working if not using SKSE?

I wouldn't recommend using SKSE tester, as it's not reliable.

well this is launching the game from the SKSE launcher in the download, as recomended in the video. When i launch skyrim through steam it works fine, but without the SKSE update

Then no idea. I've never seen this happening.

One thing is to have the dll and exe files in Skyrim root dir...another thing is to have those two other dir on the right place.
Go to your data folder...look if there is another datafolder inside....if so...maybe those two other dir haven't been placed in the right place...

If there is no data folder look if these has been placed in the right forlder as told in the readme file;

Copy the .pex files in Data\Scripts\ into the Data\Scripts\ folder of your installation. The .pex files are needed by all users of SKSE.

3. Copy the .psc files in Data\Scripts\Source\ into the Data\Scripts\Source\ folder of your installation. The .psc files are only needed if you have the CreationKit installed and intend to create or compile Papyrus scripts.

So open script folder and make sure there aren't another script folder inside...do the same with source folder......no source folder inside.

I figured it out, i was having the same problem, to fix it, go into your skyrim data folder and look for SKSE folder, inside you will find the .ini file, open it and delete everything after "runtimename"
this got it working for me and i hope it works for you guys.
