unable to find ini file please reinstall skyrim ?

Hello everyone !

I have already reinstall the game and it doesnt work. I have a real version bought on steam and its was running on my old computer...i don't see answer anywhere.

When i go in the folder, i see the 4 basics ini files..but it's like steam doesnt see it when i launch the game. I've tried to launch it directly into the folder in administrator too but it doesnt work...

I'm really block, i resolved my problems normally but i don't understand now..

It's the only game that doesnt work :-(

Someone have resolved this problem yet ?

Hmm....look in your games folder...my path
C:/user/my name/my documents/My games/Skyrim

Here Skyrim will store savegames, pref file and ini file.

It will be done automatic if you install through steam, and if not...something might be wrong and a new install might be done......you must install as admin

It's the fourth time i reinstall the game via steam and i see the saves '' .ess ''but i don't see ini files in the my documents folders, there's not there. But I see them in steam folder '' steamapps/common.

I also try to copy/paste them ( the ini files ) from the steam folder to the path you said and it didn't work either..

It is the same ini files on the two folders ?

I don't know what goes wrong...it's really like it missing something, but after four complete clean up and reinstall, there's should be there...I try to repair the files too and it didn't work.

I try to erase the ini files in the steam folder for the system to reconstruct it when the game boot. The ini files reappear in the steam folder but nothing appear in the mydocument, only the ess files.

Anwser to that ? :-) I'm starting to lose hope

Just a thought.....try to start skyrim from skyrim folder in steam..right click on the exe and tell "run as adm"

Ok, thanks for the help Rhuto ! The problem was simple. Skyrim won't work if its not install on the primary disk. Simple as that...

You have to install it on your '' C '' hard drive

Not true; I've manage for three days straight to run the game from an external hard drive; however, I did have to verify the game cache every time because the workstation I use restores itself after every use (my guess is the INI file is still stored on the main drive and gets wiped when the computer restores itself.)
